It comes with a 3ft extension which if the dining room is big enough I would just use and keep it at that size.

Why cold?

There must be some better table at a lower price that I have missed.
When does this particular code expire? I was in a store the other day and they had 15 percent off everything that ends today (18th March)

I think you are right ends midnight tonight.
We just had a similar table and chairs delivered, quality is brilliant.

...and it’ll start again at the exact same price tomorrow
How they get away with being in perpetual sale is beyond me.

Because the deal is 15% off, not this particular piece of furniture.
People do this when a discount code is found, they select items, apply the code and post a number of different "deals". They should then get voted cold out of principle.

Not strictly true. The quoted price for the furniture without the 15% off is still a reduction on their 'was' price. But, as we all know (well, most of us anyway) furniture 'was' prices are a mirage.

This 'deal' suffers from not explaining what the alternatives are and why this price is good value. A regular problem with 'premium' prices on HUKD.

I agree Les I should of explained better on this post, I happened to be in the store today and this deal with discount code wasn't mention. So I was glad to see this online, I was impressed at the end price even if they always mention they are on sale yet nearly all firms in this market are saying the same thing each season.

These are cheap nasty tables, the quality is terrible.

I’d love to see your table if you think these are cheap and nasty. These are Solid oak, no veneer or mdf. I’ve had one nearly the same without the painted legs and a 10 seater for over 5 years and still looks new. Cost well over £1000. The only problems with these is food always always falls in the little gaps and needs vacuuming out.
If it's the same type of set I'm thinking of then the middle of the table is veneer (helps with expanding) and the legs aren't solid. Just a quick look at the picture shows the legs on the chairs aren't a very good match. It's cheap imported furniture.
By the way, some of the best sets on the market are veneered so I'm not saying they're cheap, nasty sets for that reason. My set at home is veneered, cost way, way below £1000 and is still going strong after 10 + years of use. My point is they are not really worth the money, you can get same quality or better for cheaper in any number of independent furniture stores.
