Oak veener doors with 25% off.

Been watching these doors for some time and these are the best deal I have been able to find on these types of internal doors.

Others offers are available, all with decent pricing.

Not sure when it ends though..

These solid? Or wafered inners?

These solid? Or wafered inners?

they are fire doors, so presumably solid.

Just read reviews, think its wafer as you can only trim a tad

Reviews are excellent.

States the construction as "engineered", which means it's layers of wood, and not one solid piece.

it will be a chipboard core, veneered with hard wood lippings on the edges for adjustment.

Looks like a good price, but check the dimensions. My door frames are 840mm wide so these would be too narrow.

At this price these are not the Firedoor ones, but they are available but at a higher cost.

Going to check my local Howdens and see how they fair in pricing for something hardwood - will update if anywhere close

This deal ends on Monday apparently according to their site which wasn't there before. I have brought some of these. Really happy with them...

I got these in the end: howdens.com/doo…ak/
Chip/Particle board inners, veneered finish - you need a/to know someone with an account but were £80+VAT

We had these doors from Wickes in a slightly different style and our carpenter was super impressed with their quality as are we. They weigh a flippin ton!!

We got our doors from here:

They really are solid which as we live in a Victorian house with odd sized doors was important as veneers can only be trimmed by a small amount. They can cost up to ~ £170 each but these are SOLID and not filled with cheap materials

Cheap and nasty, i pay over 500 for my doors, you get what you pay for i guess.

I've fitted several of these and they look good.
I very lightly sanded them and treated them with danish oil and they look really good.
You can only trim about 1cm off the top and bottom of each door, anymore and you will expose the unsightly inner sawdust type filler. So unless the size almost exactly matches your door size, forget it.
I have found Wickes door handles a bit hit or miss. I got some good looking, very solid and good quality ones from Screwfix [I used Jedo curved lever on rose, but there is a good range, but I can't comment on the quality of the others]

Very good doors we got them coming up for 3 years ago our carpenter was surprised how little they cost solid heavy doors he used 3 heavy duty stainless steel hinges because of the weight we noticed how they were sound deadening as well also we have yet to treat them and they still look great everybody comments on them and want to know where we got them might get around to lightly sanding them and treating them one day but as yet no reason too might even replace them when they start looking shabby but that won't be anytime soon

What's the scores on the doors George Dawes? Tsk Tsk Dum Dum Tsk Crashhhhh Eighty Six Pounds and a twenty five pence, I thank you.

Does Danish Oil need a future application to keep its finish or is it a once only application?

also bare in mind they are doing money off vouchers when you spend £50 or £100. here they are, wickes.co.uk/vou…ter

I used these more than once, printed a couple and used them against my decking on two transactions

another place I recommend is kens yard I got 4 modern style for £360 delivered 2 were bigger sizes... also its not a fine veneer it was half n half

Just had a look at Kens yard and everything looks on the expensive side. May be better quality but hard to compare based on internet pics and the usual marketing blurb...

They're under the 'Fire Doors' section with "Like all Wickes fire doors, they are rated to a minimum resistance of 30 minutes and British Standard BS 476". So, is that false advertising by Wickes?

Oak veneer doors with 25% off. Is that from the top or the bottom?

Coming up as £115, is ther a code to be applied here to get the price down or is it in store only?
