What are the dates like on these? I went to home bargains on Saturday solely looking for any IPAs but they had nothing, came away with some haribo goldbears... It's a sad story I know.

Not had this, Oakham are a class brewery, looks like they’re trying to chase the hipster craft market with this can.
Heat for the price alone. Hope they still have some left when I get back from holiday

They sold Citra before most knew what it was.
I find their Citra a bit dull but if they've got this in my local HB I'll be clearing the shelf!

Tastes buds removed?
There's varying strengths 4.2 to 6.2 Oakham Citra. Served chilled nice but like all get boring after a while so like you do I vary what I drink

I probably had higher expectations when I drank it for the first time.

I wasn't aware they did varying strength ones, I probably drank the 4.2 :/

I got that wrong sorry. Draught 4.2 bottle 4.6 then theres double Citra 5.9
Thanks OP. I’m not big on highly hopped beer, but I will head down to my local Home Bargains tomorrow to try to find this. I would like to praise Home Bargains for offering variety to the beer drinker at a low cost. I don’t normal go for a beer as strong as 6%. I did though enjoy their Wolf Warning one. Some people on were snooty about it, is was fine enough.
I'll have a look tomorrow but I'm not holding out much hope, neither of my local stores ever seem to get much of these single cans/bottles

Okay, yet again - nowt in my local.

This stuff is ok .. Nothing fantastic ,but a bargain for 69p... But sadly non in my local HB Spoons sell it for £1.99 which is cheap for a 6% in a pub.

Brew your own
Popped back in today, had a few of these as well at 69p so emptied the shelf.

Heat for the fancy can art. Now what does it taste like?
None in my HB
Not the best beer, but it's OK and a bargain for 69p. It's still way better than mass produced lager that's for sure.

The stronger varient, Green Devil is ace. As is the Scarlett Macaw.
Nice one, picked up the last 5 of these today and half a dozen of the session IPA

Once upon a time I did. Too lazy and have a 7month old daughter now, no room for anything that isn't hers

Understood .. If it's any consolation kids cost more as they get older and are less rewarding .. Should have stuck to brewing
I got one of those all grain kettles , and make a very decent 6.5-7% ipa for under 20p a pint
Had the Alpha Inception before & it wasn't bad but I felt it wasn't up to the usual Oakham high standards.... didn't stop me from grabbing half a dozen though!
Also got half a dozen Best Friends too.
Went back today and grabbed some thanks OP. For any folk that can't find them (like I couldn't initially) it's worth checking the whole booze aisle. They were hidden amongst the cider section in mine. Oh and if anyone is still curious about the date. The ones I've picked up are bbe November/December.
Picked up 6 x Inception and 2 x Best Friend. Will try them out later

Update: both poor beers with token amounts of hops. Worth a try for 69p but regret buying 8 cans!
Bought loads as you can't go wrong at 69p. They're both nice.

Nice one - they had quite a few left at lakeside HB, can’t go wrong for 69p - especially 6%
Finally have some in my branch
