Reasonable rating on Untapped.
Had it before and nice hoppy ale.
A woman in front of me had a different Oakham beer, a bitter of some kind, couldn't really see what it was other than the word bitter, hopefully some Oakham stuff will drop your way ready for the weekend....or sooner!
Not even the lagunitas offer 2 weeks ago?
I know the feeling - I've not seen anything for a solid 6 weeks or more
I often check 2 or 3 nearest stores and bulk buy lots of good stuff when I find it. I'm currently still enjoying Goos 312 wheat beer and Heineken pet bottles (DEFINITELY IMPORTED SO PLEASE DON'T START GOING ON ABOUT @#IT BRITISH BREWED HEINEKEN)
Didn't realise the PET bottles were imported, my HB Has loads of them, definitely worth a punt at 79p.
Definitely
I'll be purchasing tomorrow, along with whatever Oakham stuff is left.
More than likely that would have been Jeffrey Hudson Bitter (JHB). Neither have appeared as yet in my local stores but when they do I'll be stocking up for Christmas
They had the purple can lagunitas stuff, but that went quicker than me after eating a Carolina reaper curry. Foolishly I didn't empty the shelves when I had the chance .
They could brew it with angels tears in St Peters back garden I still wouldn't drink it . It was the all inclusive beer ( in bottles ,brewed in Holland ) on holiday ,and I didn't drink it for free.
Fortunately the spirits were top notch
Went back to clear the shelf of the Macaw, they had none but I can confirm it is the JHB bitter for 99p.
Great if you like bitter, unfortunately I don't.
It's not a traditional bitter as such. I'd describe it more as a golden ale, not heavily hopped but a pleasant flavour & very sessionable. Grab a bottle next time you pass....you might be pleasantly surprised
