Same price per kg but you have to commit to eating 400g of blueberries before they go off. Lidl are only demanding a committed consumption of 200g - hence a hotter deal, assuming the blueberries are equal in taste and freshness.
Freeze them? Best way to have them with breakfast
I've always wondered if nutritionally these are the same depending on the price.
If you're considering frozen - I'm just trying them for first time - Waitrose do 400g for £2.20, but currently 2 bags for £4.00 (until 21/7).

I find them surprisingly red (-v- blue/black), and you need to defrost for a couple of hours (ie pre-planning). Would imagine ideal for smoothie use.

Anyone else think that blueberries are a bit bland? I love blueberry muffins etc, but actual blueberries just don't taste as good. Or am I eating them wrong?
Always £1 on any local market

Actually studies have shown that the difference between nutritional value of frozen fruit and vegetables compared to fresh is negligible, especially when you consider how long you might leave stuff before eating it.

Unless I made that up. But I just wrote it as a comment on the Internet so now it's a true fact either way.

I have taken your fact, and put it onto Wikipedia. We all know that Wikipedia is never wrong. So your true fact really must be true.

Im afraid to say you ARE eating them wrong. Eat them from a pastel coloured bowl, between 4 and 7pm, only chew on the left hand side of your mouth and most importantly only put 4 in a time. If you follow these official tips from the Blueberry Society (BS) you'll see what all the fuss is about.

When you put it like that, I'll make sure I buy everything in smaller quantities in future (_;)
I bought these last week as a snack for my boys. they were extremely sour. does anyone know if blueberries can be ripened at home?
