These cheap little things never work. Your just wasting your money.

I use these ELM 327 dongles all the time, I have them permanently plugged in to a few different cars.

Used with Torque (Pro for me) on Android, they are reliable and very useful.

Have you tried turning it off and back on at the wall?
Maybe you need to lose some weight & get it serviced

Thanks all, will try and glad to hear that there are some users here that can give some good advice about this type of machinery

I kinda agree as I got one free when I bought a more comprehensive diagnostic machine. It's a waste of time. In fact the app caused my smartphone to crash so uninstalled. Could just be bad luck.

I bought the blue one and have had no issues either with it or the app. Thank you OP for taking the time to share

Yep Torque pro is what I have used in the past, very good app, not sure what else is on the market nowadays.
Anyone know about the "Sale starts in X days, add to cart now" thing on AliExpress at the moment? Seems a little odd they would advertise future lower prices...
These devices work fine. Have them plugged into multiple vehicles using apps like Torque pro and DashCommand to name a few.

Ditto, never had any problems with them or Torque and they've saved me a tonne of cash with the family cars, rather than taking them to the garage to tell me it needs a simply part changed.

I have found they work on most but not all, Some cars can be rather funny. Worth £2
Bought 4 from different suppliers 2 did not work hit and miss

anniversary sale. why not?
On the app some of these are showing at around the 90p mark with 1000s or orders. Is there any reason why this is worth the extra?

Up to 60 days shipping / delivery. Hopefully no one needs one urgently to check / clear an engine fault code!

Could be that you've been unlucky, or your car has bigger problems. I also have an ELM327, bought for a little more than this, and with Torque it diagnosed my egr fault on my Audi and the problem was fixed for £30, this would have been £200 at a garage and probably more at an Audi centre
Good devices, but be warned...... the CD that came with mine with different s/ware was riddled with viruses
I have the white one. Has come in handy these last few years. I use it with Carista on Android - Works well!
Heat added just for the amount of money these could save you. I used one to clear a code that brought my car out of limp mode when my dpf was blocked. Allowed me to carry on and get the filter cleared.
there not ELM their all Chinese cloned with inferior software will work with torque pro but will propably only tell you what you already know

No sure about that mate I got the exact same one about 2 years ago off ebay 66p and it's worked on quite a few cars. It's very good for turning off lights and checking faults fuel mixtures etc.

Exactly. I must say though I didn't know what app to use as it came on its own with no instructions. But soon worked it out. I used Torque Lite, so FREE version but worked just fine clearing the codes.

Don't bother with cds they work best with mobile phones and apps maybe that's why some people saying they r waste of time they may have tried with the laptop also some apps are no good they don't detect the device .

"what you already know" as in what?
Look a bit cheap and unreliable. Can you buy two and use one to check for a fault in the other?

ODBCarDoctor is free and pretty good on iOS. BUT you must use the wireless version and not Bluetooth as they don’t work with Apple software (Apple restrict the way Bluetooth works on so these devises don’t work via Bluetooth - Google it for more details). The wireless version works brilliantly.
Spent £2.45 on it on EBay last week. I have suicidal thoughts now
