How does it power the cam please? Connect to cigarette lighter or to car battery?
Shame only 720p looks good design
I think I get it now. This thing clips over and replaces your existing R/V mirror, but has the added advantage of a second camera. Natty. Not much info on it though...

Where do you reckon the rear cam will go. ..inside or out?
A friend has something similar on his old motor home, worked great, camera out the back wired to a reverse light and the screen clipped to the rvm and wired into a ignition source. Camera was outside round the nunber plate
1080p version only £25.99 on Amazon has 'Vide angle lens' too amazon.co.uk/Pod…575
I hope it's much better than the Object Action Cam also from Euro car parts someone shared a lil while back...
My own user review/experience.

I have a China brand from amazon, had it about a year. My primary use/reason for buying is to use it as a reversing camera and not a dash cam on my Honda civic (terrible rear window).

The front camera:
Clips over your rear view mirror, held in place by strong rubber bands.
The camera is on the left which means you record offset to the left catching more left pavement instead of the right side of your view.
Recording quality is pretty poor, won't be able to read plates unless car is directly close in front (like within one car space). Terrible night recordings.
Powered by mini USB lead or hardwired cigarette adaptor.

The rear cam:
Sticks on with adhesive.
Is not waterproof.
The power wire needs to be connected to your reverse lights. Easily done by jamming the end of the wire in with the wiring of your light.

The device records both front and back at the same time and saves them a separate files.
Automatically switches to reverse cam when you shift in to reverse.
The screen does not turn on automatically when you engage reverse which is a bit of an inconvenience.

I paid about 50£ for mine a year ago. This is a great price as a reversing camera set up.

I have my doubts that would be native 1080p at that price, let alone have reasonable image sensors. More likely to be interpolated from 720p.

Should be able to get a good budget single lens camera for under £30 though.

Ooh, made in Germany!
I'd like one with WiFi.
I'm hoping the Yi mirror cam comes up on offer again.

I got one from fleabay a couple of years ago for about £15, looks absolutely identical to that, had to fit the mirror upside down since the camera angle is for "foreign driving" (ie right side of road) and will not move enough for UK roads... Also the video had about 4 settings from 360p to 1080p... every one of which recorded in terrible 360p... think Nokia 3220 era...
I complained and got a refund of a tenner.... it still works, just rubbish picture..

Always enjoy this guy's videos. I've used his reviews to help me pick the dashcam for my car.
