cracking deal for £1 well found

I bought some before. I have very low standards when it comes down to food. However, I could not eat this tuna. It does not taste like tuna. I returned mine as my dog would not eat it. Maybe it was a bad batch but I would rather go to B&M and get 8 cans for £4.5. I did not vote either way as this could satisfy some other people.

I drained this tuna and mixed it with some sticky barbeque sauce - mixed it lightly so it would not mash to a pulp. I served it on ciabbata bread that had been lightly grilled and brushed with olive oil. To say it resembled pulled pork would be an understatement. It was lush.
Great find OP.
heat + bbq sauce lol

Tuna Flakes is the waste that is left in the machine after the 'chunks' are processed.

Swept up & sold as flakes. And people fall for it!
Not fit for human consumption IMO

does taste of s....

Have been this price for ages.

Had some of this and it is carp not fit for human or animal consumption.

Cold, Tuna Flakes.

Tuna Chunks in Sunflower Oil is like 60p a tin, really no need to buy this crap.

I've low standards when it comes to food and will eat almost anything.......not this though oO even the cat refused it.

I'm glad you found a use for it.

Wouldn't touch this with a 10ft pole and line.

I bought few tins of tuna flakes. When I opened them it looked like sick ... like someone had blended the tuna with salt and water. I couldn't even squeeze the water out without firing the goop into my face. I ended up throwing the whole lot away.

I have to agree with the general consensus, this stuff is more like tuna paste than flakes.
I find the best tuna for cost/quality ratio is Aldis.
