The Oceans Trilogy, a brand new four-disc set, brings together Oceans Eleven, Oceans Twelve and Oceans Thirteen in one box, delivering some of the finest old-style caper entertainment seen on the big screen in years.
Oceans Eleven is the best of the trilogy, and also superior to the original Rat Pack film that its a remake of. Here, were introduced for the first time to Daniel Ocean (George Clooney, who effortlessly charms his way through all three films with real style) and his group of fellow cons (including Brad Pitt and Matt Damon) as they try and pull off a daring casino heist. Its a thrilling, immaculately packaged slice of Hollywood entertainment, and easily stands up to repeated viewings.

The first sequel, Oceans Twelve, is a mess though. The first half sets things up nicely, introducing further themes of competition and revenge, but it then pulls a blistering stupid plot device around half way through and never recovers. Theres still plenty to enjoy, but its a real missed opportunity.

Oceans Thirteen finds the gang in much finer form though, and the addition of Al Pacino to the roster as the new villain of the piece does it no harm whatsoever. The focus is back onto a single job, and while its light on twists, its still a breezy caper thats hard not to warm to.

Packed with big name stars, and directed on the whole with real skill by Steven Soderbergh, the Oceans Trilogy is--the middle film excepted--testament to just how much fun watching movie stars doing their thing can be. A boxset well worth investing in. --Simon Brew

Synopsis
Loosely based on the 1960 Rat Pack film of the same name, OCEAN'S ELEVEN is a hi-tech crime comedy that features a top-notch cast. Conman Danny Ocean plans to rob three of the biggest casinos in Las Vegas that just so happen to be owned by his ex-wife's lover, the nefarious Terry Benedict... In the sequel OCEAN'S TWELVE, Danny and his cohorts set their sights on Europe, as they pull off their most ambitious and daring heist yet. But trouble has a way of finding them, and now Benedict is hot on their trail, threatening all sorts of unpleasantness if they don't return the millions they stole from him. Rounding off the trilogy is OCEAN'S THIRTEEN, an equally glossy romp through the high-stakes world of organised crime. The thirteen return to the Vegas Strip to exact revenge on Willie Bank, the dastardly casino owner who ripped off one of the group's original members.

thanks mate ive ordered it anyhoo

Absolutely love these films. Wish they would make another. Great price as well.

these are good films i like all three, but they are not jaw dropping blu ray if you know what i mean

Brilliant films however the DB transfer is appalling, particularly on Oceans 13. Infact Id go as far as to say upscalling my DVD of 13 is better quality.

Regardless if you don't have these in your collection, good price for them

Good price, but very poor films IMHO

Nice spot Bob! This deal has been included in ]Playpennies, the blog from HUKD.

You must have a 1080i tv if you think upscalling your dvd is just as good.

Get a 1080p tv and reap the difference
