£109.69 including delivery. yes i know you can get free delivery but you have to post a lot on their forums to get it.

benchmarks give similar performance to the ati 5770, from what i've seen, which are around the same price.

As the GTX 460 768mb is available for less than £20 more, how do these two compare?

only a tenner more here (was cheaper) and is a fair bit better in benchmarks

At it's current price point the 460 GTX 768MB looks like a no-brainer to me.

You wouldn't pick this over the 460 768mb as the 460 is much faster and not a lot more money, In benchmarks the 460 1gb version is on par with the Ati 5830 sometimes beating it and the 768mb variant is only a couple of frames slower. The 460 will max out most games out there at high resolutions with high detail the only one where you will need to drop the detail is crysis but that brings even the worlds best cards to there knees and the 460 is extremely overclockable and cool running.

For those reasons this is artic cold.

Sadly cold - but those specs would have made me weep ten years ago when I entered the industry.

Yep this card makes absolutely no sense to me. Guess that's why they are phasing out the 460...sigh oh Nvidia where did it all go wrong?

All true comments but i just thought i would let you guys know- i mean there must be a reason why someone would buy a 450 over a slightly more expensive 460 or Nvidia are nutcases!

Or people after cards that would suit a media orientated desktop pc?
It's not got the 6600gt wow factor, but it does seem that getting this card for under £100 and doing stuff like watching movies on it are fine.

Of course it also finally forces AMD and retailers to bring down their pricing on the 5770 and lesser cards. But most people will be bitter at Nvidia for doing too little too late.
