Brrrrrr

Shame this is going cold. The only 970 made on a 980 PCB with the 980 reference cooler. They have put the price too high, but I suppose it is a specialist item. It's not even that great at cooling and it's not as quiet as most aftermarket coolers. The only benefit is expulsion of heat out of the back and the looks. Gotta be a big Nvidia enthusiast to get this.

At the end of the day people are going to look at the performance as well as cooling, and this performs the same as a card costing £70-£80 less.

agreed... that £70 you save could be put towards a waterblock or something else in the system

Pointless card at this price...

OCUK are making a number of special items but asking too much for them. Maybe there are people do not mind paying extra but I think that will still be a small market. 970 hype it is

performance and cost and noise are all that matter, nobody cares what it looks like once it's inside a case apart from chavs, makes even less sense when you saw Amazon selling the 980 proper for £30 more last friday in sales.

Price needs to be on par with custom cooled cards, I would probally bite at £265, OcUK say that the cooler costs more, but I don't believe that, it's not even a vapor chamber cooler that's been on previous generation cards.

Ideal for people running more than one card with a case that lacks adequate airflow.
