What's the difference with this one and the quest?

39549239-k2XkQ.jpgGo is for viewing videos and such in vr not really for gaming, but the quest is for gaming and has all the positional sensors
Anyone who buys this should check out Virtual Virtual Reality. One of the best VR games on any platform and plays brilliantly on the Go.

OP Why did you have to post this? I had been so good at resisting the other HotUKdeals bargains Hopefully I'll hate it and send it back

You can still get great games on the GO, I got the 64gb version for....... The kids at Christmas

Well worth it at this price

I maybe wrong but I think the Go supports Vridge Riftcat which lets you use your PC to do the processing and play PC VR games. No room positioning though, but head tracking is supported as in you look up down etc. It's not clear on that chart.

There's also a cut off date in January where you can transfer your GearVR bought games to transfer.

An excellent price. I bought one when it was on offer from Argos in the summer, and have really enjoyed using it, (I'm 50+ and always wanted to try some VR out!), but an update just before Christmas means that in order to link up with your friends in an app (i.e. 'Wander') it appears you now need to link your Go to a Facebook account and invite them through their Facebook account. Not impressed......

Make up a name and use a throwaway email account for it. Used an easy password like password... For it.

Also did the same. Kids are loving playing games on theirs. 11&8.

Having seen the Go, I’d like the Quest for myself.

I'd note that you can now plug the quest into a PC if you want effectively the functionality of the rift S. Which imo pretty much removes any niche the rift S serves.
Cant we somehow use are Samsung Gear Vr Headset to run from the pc .??

That is nothing, they are in 2020 removing the Android OS from the Quest and replacing it with FB own OS, and with the recent removal of online feature that now require a FB account as mandatory, they are starting to lock the system down to their walled garden and link it all to their social media business, those were enough reasons for me to dump my CV1 and Go and stick with the vive and a pair of knuckle controllers for 2020, and at some point grab a Index headset.....but i personally won't be bending knee to FB nonsense and jumping through hoops they put there at no benefit to the consumer.

Picked it up on quest in the sale last week, only played it 20 minutes or so but the pervert butter validated the purchase. 39550688-xKQyZ.jpg
How good is the movie/tv experience on this?
If someone from London is interested, I'm selling mine for £100. It's in mint condition, used a dozen times, and it includes the official case.
Is it true that Oculus now requires you to log into facebook before you are allowed to use this, so that they can track what you use it for?!?
Having had both I’d take a Quest any day. It’s absolutely amazing.

Thought was a professional comparison chart until I see the section titled 'graphics realism (caused by what runs it)' and then I'm confident Ali g knocked it up on paint.

Are the graphics on the Quest much better than the Go? And the resolution of games/media better also?

Thanks
Can anyone request a headset around 200 quid? Or is the go best at the price range?
