Cracker. Good spot
Does anyone think this might go even lower before Christmas, or is it worth noting now??? I personally think it won't go much lower as demand is allegedly high...thoughts welcome!
What BNPL method? Think it will affect credit rating?

I just got it and was blown away by how good it is. It’s definitely not going to reduce in price before Christmas (in my opinion) as supply isn’t meeting demand at the moment.

Graphically it’s as good as psvr, but it has six degrees of freedom and no wires making it a better vr experience.

I highly recommend it

Every tech gets eventually cheaper but looking at reviews and how I, personally, got immediately hooked and won’t consider anything else than Oculus, doubt we will see any price reduction before this Christmas:/
I admit I would rather buy PS4PRO for exclusives but all kids talk about nowadays is VR and I must say, PSVR can’t touch this so... Oculus Quest it is:)

Having said that, I will wait till Christmas with purchase :P

Bit of a long shot this but have you compared this with the Rift at all? My lil one has the Rift but wants these to play with friends when they come over.
I just pulled the trigger on this, don't think it will go lower before Christmas and feels good to clear this year's 'big surprise' present so early!

I was tempted to do the same but having learned about the burned out pixels etc. on some sets, last thing I want is to find out my set is busted in 2 months time!:)
I know it will be for kids and they won’t care about it being open now but I can’t be bothered with repacking it neatly past the checks:)

It’s unlikely there will be any reductions by Christmas but waiting for more options form more retailers closer to Christmas like, hopefully 12 or even better, 24 months interest free credit via PayPal:)
Secretly hoping kids will forget about VR tough as I fancy PS4PRO in house!:)
I think it's worth mentioning, Amazon.co.uk have now started selling the 64GB and 128GB models of Oculus Quest for 5 monthly payments of £79.80 and £99.80 respectively. Their first year returns policy is potentially more appealing.

The Rift is a better machine in terms of power (because you've got a whole gaming rig behind it as opposed to just the small machine on the Quest), but what that means is that you have to be cabled up and next to your PC to play it. That's the trade off really, do you want to be able to play the biggest games with the best possible graphics or do you want the freedom to play the Quest anywhere but suffer with the slightly downgraded graphics. MOST people I know have been happy to sacrifice the graphics and a couple of the top, top games for the convenience.
The actual graphical potential of Quest has yet to be fully realized, and could ultimately end up quite close to PCVR titles (many of which are very unoptimized). Additionally, by being entirely wireless - developers are given greater design freedom. Quest has also become a very attractive platform, as it has so far shown much better profits for VR developers compared to PCVR.

Bought one yesterday for £360 using the ebay 10% off. I knew they'd be a better deal within a week! Prefer not to mess about setting up credit accounts though so happy enough. Can't wait for it to arrive. I need to do some research about streaming from a laptop/pc to the Quest as I've been told you can play some higher res games that way.

Yeah I've played my sons Rift and it is pretty amazing, he has got a top spec rig though. I think he's desperate to play with his mates rather than taking turns so I'll have to explain that there may be a slight downgrade. Like you say, the trade off will probably be worth it.
Does this mean you'll get your £50 back in 9 months ?
I can't get mine off the kids lol.

I would not say it is as good as the PSVR because you will never get games like Skyrim, Wipeout or Dirt rally working on the snapdragon cpu that is in the quest, but i refunded mine not because the games that were on it were downgraded, but because it was simply too front heavy and after about 20 mins was uncomfortable on my face, and for £400 i expect it to be at least confortable to wear...........i will wait for the quest 2, assuming Oculus don't drop support, as they seem to have just done quietly with the CV1 at the moment by dropping accessory supports as CV1 owners can no longer buy the CV1 cables or earphones and on Reddit a oculus devs stated that is your CV1 cable is faulty outside warrenty then you will have to buy a whole new headset....nice right. lol

You get the £50 knocked off the total amount to pay. I just bought the Rift S using this code for £399.99 and the £50 gets taken off sometime in October. As of October my balance would be £349.99 to pay. I'm planning on paying off £50 per month.

As long as you remember to pay it ALL off before the 9 months are up otherwise the interest rate is very poor.
Just as a heads up, the Rift S can also be bought for £349.99 this way too...

The graphical power it has is impressive, but it's only going to get further from the quality of new PC titles over time, not closer.
Bought it! Sold my Go to pay towards it.
Brilliant offer. i already have Oculus quest and its great. I keep it a secret from my kids, so I have enough play before they get it on Christmas
Was back in stock, then soon out of stock again
You can use a free program called alvr on a gaming pc and play PCvr games wirelessly. Disable streaming the sound and use wireless headphones if you get issues with bandwidth and ensure your using the 5ghz wifi. I have the rift s and the quest and if oculus support the quest officially this way its it's a winner over
the rift s ..

Not as good as rift, graphics need improving. We need 16k! Step in the right direction and at least they are still being made.

Space pirate trainer is a great arcade shooter, and robo recall is also great.

I have PSVR as well and it's just a pain to bring it all out and put it all away again every time (got young kids), that and the tracking is a bit sketchy at times.

The tracking in the quest is way improved but I will say one thing the PSVR is a damn site more comfortable. If it really bothers you you can mod the quest quite easily with a Vive (I think!?) Deluxe strap, Google frankenquest.

Anyway the PSVR is clearly more powerful, but the headset optics aren't as good (lower Res). The quest can also cheat a bit and use foveated rendering, which means only the area you are facing is rendered.

You can also use skybox to stream por..eh ah, movies to the headset, no need to copy stuff over.

Google sidequest as well for some homebrew games and access to some android apps etc. No need to mod anything just enable developer options in the oculus app.

Having proper roomscale VR is great, one you use it you realise psvr is almost pretend VR. It does a great job, don't get me wrong, but true 6dof is an awesome thing to have wireless.

Check out space pirate arena as well, for a real look at room scale there's some vids on YouTube, can't wait for it to be released.
Bar fight is now out on it

I'm sold
