Heat - I got the Oculus Rift S for £374
Cancelled my other preorder and got a Quest for £369.99 delivered, cheers OP

Should I get my Mum to order me a Rift S, might as well take advantage of this offer.

Why on earth would you buy 2 VR ?
Sold out on Amazon and Argos so it looks like it’s selling well.
Cheers OP. Cancelled my order at game and got this instead.
Now at least I can tell the mrs I saved £30 when she's asking why I've wasted more money on toys.
Edited by: "john175bramley" 17th May
Perfect! I’ve been waiting for very to stock it due to them having the GO. Nearly gave up and bought it last night elsewhere! Lucky I didn’t. Cheers OP.
OOS now it seems
Ah shame now oos
Good price but with delivery it's only £26 cheaper than Amazon. I'd rather have the peace of mind that if it goes faulty it will be replaced the next day than have to deal with Very's awful CS.

Funny you wrote that after it went oos, sour grapes much...?
Nice heat added. Got a Rift S.👌
Thank you for this.

cant see any posts from you
Got both my Rift S and Quest on pre-order at Amazon for £399 each. Tempting but I think I'll stick with Amazon, particuluary as with the Quest I used £250 vouchers from TCB towards it. The Rift S was almost cost neutral after selling of original Rift.

So going to be a little over £150 out of pocket but up a Quest and updated to Rift S, can't wait!
Thanks buddy, though I got the tip from Reddit. Ordered a Rift S myself.

Interestingly, I chose the C+C option but the order is still being delivered to my home address (as per details in the email alert). Speaking to CS now, they said it's a high valued item hence why the delivery to my home. Great considering I got free delivery then, but just means I'll need to arrange to be home!

I chose c&c.
Very called me to confirm the order as I’ve not ordered for a long time.
And said c&c is fine for my chosen location which is a post office.

Ye weird. They did ask to confirm where it was being delivered first.
Dunno. Maybe different in different areas.

Just checked my account history and seems I've no previous orders with them despite having an account open since time memorial. So that could be the reason. In any case, I hope it really is now delivered home and not the PO!

Sold out on Amazon and Argos so it looks like it’s selling well.

Or they had low stock. Let's hope it is selling well though for the future of VR !
Upload VR posted prices of games in the US, but does anyone know what the UK prices will be?

uploadvr.com/ocu…ce/
Ugh.
Recently sold my Rift in anticipation of the S, but then the more I think about the Quest I can see that being the preferred device (If Gorn and Thrill of the Fight get ported)
If more games get ported, the Quest could be huge for VR
damn just went to order the 128 and both OOS of very now
Mine still saying 'Order being processed at supplier'.

Anyones been shipped yet?

My friend is in New York at the moment. If I ask her to bring back a Quest for me (it costs the equivalent of £315 over there) - does anyone know if I will have any issues using it in the UK?

Is that £315 including sales tax?
I'd be worried about warranty support, but I believe they are region free, so othere than the plug, they should be identical.

Thanks, great to know! And I think it'll be more like £340 with sales tax added in but I'm looking into whether my friend could avoid paying the sales tax, since she doesn't live in the US, kind of like how foreign shoppers can get VAT on their purchases refund on shopping they do while here
The people here who've received the Quest, what are your thoughts on it? Pros and cons?

I'm a PSVR owner and got one of these on Tuesday, some points:

Graphically I'd say it's on par with the PSVR.

Comfort wise PSVR is better but Quest not too bad at all.

The quest is perfect for passing around in groups but I have a big melon head and the velcro straps have to be adjusted between different people. The PSVR in contrast I found I could use it and pass it to a kid with no adjustment.

Quest controllers are a big positive.

Unless you've got quite a big space the guardian system will kick in during play and put you off your game. Needs a bit of tweaking.

2-3 hour battery life seems reasonable but I've ran out of juice several times already.

Vader Immortal was good fun but very, very short.

Every evening since I've had the Quest I've gone into the garden in the evening and played Beat Sabre and Racquet Fury and I bloody love it, works really well in a big space with no wires and I even get a bit of a workout.

Sound isn't bad at all and it's good not to have to use headphones when passing the headset around.

Put the headset on and it comes on, take it off and it switches off. A small thing but really nice user friendly feature.

My mrs who avoids the PSVR like the plague has had several goes on the Quest already.

I don't think it's perfect yet but it's certainly a big step forward.

Any more questions I'll do my best to answer.

Thanks very much for your detailed review!

Does the screen seem better than the PSVR? Can you notice the higher resolution compared to PSVR, or does the headset mostly look the same?

I know the Quest has higher resolution but I can't discern any difference in quality between it and the PSVR apart from the blacks which are much better on the quest. It would have been nice to have improved graphics but that's not what the Quest is about.
