Back in stock.......be quick

Hey guys, not so much of a deal but to make people aware that on the Oculus website they have the 64gb and 128gb Quests back in stock.....

If you've been after one of these you know how hard they are to get hold of at the min, so not so much of a deal but more to let people know there in stock. I've just finally ordered mine (well my sons )

so 64gb is £399
and 128gb is £499

If people read the main post I didn’t say it was a deal as such ......more of a heads up to people to say there in stock knowing how difficult they are to get hold of unless you want to pay ridiculous prices that are currently on EBay??????? In which case it is a deal!!!!

The screen is the only good thing about that unit, everything else is trash.
Bad software, bad controllers, WIRED but I hope you find happiness not being “cash strapped” and flexing.
F it, I’ve ordered one. Something tells me it might be a mistake with PSVR2 coming out this year.
Normal price ??

Highly recommend Big Screen if you want to use these to hang out with your friends in the virus times.
Got one! Thanks Sean!

Did it give you a delivery date?
How is this a deal?! It's always this price

A game/app probably

i think its a menu for vr there are even desktops and big screen might be a 3d enviroment for 2d stuff

if that makes sense, put it this way you sit in vr and play a 2d game why ? no idea lol
Got the oculus Go reduced at Argos- still on offer, obviously a lesser model to the quest but we’re impressed with it
Definitely worth picking up the Virtual Desktop app. You can use this wirelessly to play games from Steam VR if you also have a decent gaming pc.

I believe it’s a virtual cinema. You sit in a cinema watching a big film with your chums

It’s a virtual “cinema” that you can sit and watch with friends, virtually. I’ve not tried it as I don’t have friends with VR, but think you can either pay to watch movies together and possibly share ones you already have.
Good for the lock down I guess.
Picked up a Oculus Go from CEX the other day (online purchase) for £95 classed as a Grade B, so was prepared to send it back, turned up and theres a couple of tiny scratches on the front, presumably from sitting on a table/desk and a small dent on the bottom. Just doing a bit of research on real time battery life. Although i am considering mounting a small power bank on the back of the strap to charge while maintaining the freedom. Also may work as a counter weight.

Some of the free content is limited, yet some of it is excellent. Even just to watch films on a massive screen is good enough for me

Pardon my ignorance, but how do you watch films on one of these?

Cough Cough, certain websites might have them. I mean....On youtube there are some and you've got netflix, amazon prime, etc basically its a small PC strapped to your face.
Thanks, grabbed the 64gb one. £100 for an extra 64gb is outrageous.
Thank you! Been looking everywhere for one. Ordered. People are trying to run scams selling these for £480 or £550 for the 64 gb. Shame on people for gouging the price!

So you can play your own backed up movie MKV files?

not unless sony isn't tethered. we've got a psvr and a quest. not getting tangled up makes big difference ... needs more games though

I'm pretty sure you can since it runs android basically checkout the sidequest project. But I also believe there is an official Plex app if that works for you

Don't see why not providing you download an app that can play those files, i think VLC does.
Guys, if you are into your VR stuff, the Quest is an awesome device. You can play mkv files by using the SkyBox Media Player app. There are now loads and loads of games and you also have all the SideQuest apps aswell. It's also great for keeping fit with games that require a lot of movement.

I hope Oculus Rift S will be back in stock soon
Fire!
Ohhh man! Now I'm gonna be in trouble in the morning.

Cheers!
Oculus Quest is such a good vr headset, 100% worth the money, if u have games installed on a gaming pc u can use the headset with steam vr, using developer mode, games can be sideloaded using software to play games like Pavlov for free legally

It's usually more than this technically.
Because most people that actually have it, are selling it on eBay or Amazon for jacked up prices.

So under those rules, this "standard price" would be a deal

I thought you had to buy a link cable or make your own cable, is this Wifi streaming over 2.4ghz I heard that would be too lagging to be any good?
