Well why lie when you obviously can Not janky if you set it …Well why lie when you obviously can Not janky if you set it up correctly. Why not do both with one device?

Your average user isn’t going to be able to set it up, just go with the official usage. You coming in and saying yes won’t help the guy if he can’t do what he wants it to do and he’s just going to be angry he blew 400 notes on something he can’t use. It’s not a lie, the official stance is no and this unit is stand alone. Not all people are master hackers like yourself.
Hi,are we going to see one of these deal come up every time they are in stock? Not a deal

Thats a lot of wedge.

Can you hook this up to a Laptop and play Elite Dangerous for example?

Thats a great price. How did you manage that ? Was it for the 64GB or 128GB ?

Oh..... I missed out on that one. I remember the 10%, 20% and 15% off on ebay offers but can never think of what I need to buy that is more than £100 at the time....

It would probably have been out of stock anyway...

Oh well i'll wait for the next one.....

Yeah I had to keep spamming the page to get a “local” one, ended up having to drive about 40 miles round trip to pick it up.

Not officially and it’s janky af. The rift s is the same price and better spec so why you would buy the quest instead to play pc games is beyond me.

You can stream steam games over 5G but it's not really good enough. I have ordered 3 of these direct from Oculus and always receive them within 2-3 days. This isn't a deal

I love mine. The 1000 quid ones aren't going to push VR. This will.

Fabulous machine.
I have gone for it never tried VR so thanks for the post. It seems to have good reviews on Amazon as well over the Oculus S.

I've ummed and arred for ages now and I can't seem to make the final leap. I keep seeing reports how it can't be used in the dark (so watching a film in bed is out of the question). There aren't a great deal of games available yet and those that are, are greatly inflated over say rift prices. Fruit ninja is a case in point. Is it 20 quid or something for an 8yr old game. Loses charge very quickly..... And a lot of people have been returning them due to syncing issues. All this has meant I'm on the side of hang fire but........... I really really want one. 😳 :/
I’m exactly the same. If it offered the instalment payment option, I might have bitten.

Me too. Exact same boat. I have a thesis due in two weeks so I’ve told myself once that’s in I might treat myself. Didn’t know about the not working in the dark issue though so might check that out.

Apparently oculus know about it and are looking at a fix. Alot of people are mailing them apparently.

Theyre releasing a 3DOF update so it will work in the dark without motion controls, allowing you to watch in bed etc. I'm absolutely LOVING my quest.

buy it with PayPal credit and then do monthly payments (interest free for 4 months)
Yeah, good idea. Been meaning to set this up. Was holding off credit check in case I apply for a new car lease

Sounds great. I’ve got two weeks I need to commit to my uni work then I’m all over it. Unless some sort of eBay offer etc comes up then I’ll buy and try to resist playing with it.
Maybe I was a bit harsh with my comment, but I'm finding it hard to get excited about this unit,I think it's good for first time vr experience, but I think it could be so much better.
Hot UK Stock Updates.

I doubt this is a major issue as I have not seen it mentioned before and I follow what is happening with Oculus Quest closely. Rift S would surely also have the same issue as as they both use inside-out tracking.
Am I right in saying this can only use the Apps from the store? Locked down,No warez, everything you have to pay for ?

Why "hurry"? It's very unlikely to get OOS and it's gonna be much cheaper if you wait for the next Black Friday.

You obviously can't, it's not easy to set up that functionality and it's on the bleeding edge of what oculus are tolerating. It's also not and never going to be a perfect experience as the hardwares not capable of it. If you are a die hard VR user you could probably live with the higher latency, but for many it'll make you sick as a dog.

Utter rubbish, you an Oculus employee?
Just sold mine this week. I really think Oculus are on to something great with the quest. It really will help VR become more popular, however, I found this headset to be unbearably uncomfortable. Couldn't even wear it for more than 15 mins before wanted to take it off. I tried many things (the best being a counterweight) but everytime I thought I might jump into VR for a bit I just thought about putting that thing on and decided against it.

Should have returned it but I stupidly thought it would somehow get magically more comfortable. It never did
Hello
I just found a 128Gb one at a not very local Argos.
Have reserved it and will travel there tomorrow - according to google maps my bus journey will pass 73 stops - and get an Argos card in store so that I can pay for it over 6 months.
Could not see it on the ebay Argos store, so no 15% off for me
I found a 128Gb version at Long Eaton for anyone near to Nottingham.
**edit - believe the hyped up sounding reviews! They are based on truth

Not at all, nor is it rubbish. There is a good reason why TPCast works the way it does. You physically can't get the same performance from a stream over a 5g network, that's just a fact. It's good enough for some, but others it does cause issues(reported on by Tested).
