Great price, such a shame there is nothing remotely comparable for the Vive. I can't bring myself to buy into this Facebook machine.

What a strange comment.

Seems to be the standard Black Friday Price.
What's the 'decent' PC spec to run these?

I agree completely. If the Vive had reduced rather than providing the deluxe strap, I'd have snapped it up. Mainly for it's developing linux support...

I picked one up at the beginning of the month. I'm running with i5 4690k and GTX 970. Runs with barely any issues, very very slight stutter rarely when playing Robo Recall when shit gets intense.

It's not a Facebook machine. You dont need to have or use Facebook at all to use it. You dont need to buy anything on the Oculus Store, either.

I think the Oculus comes with 2 year's warranty in eu regardless where you buy it from.

You do realise that development costs, both hardware and software far exceed what the original kickstarter could muster. It needed a massive company like Facebook to buy into it.

Quick, will this be up tomorrow?

Of course, I would be fine with pretty much any company, but not Facebook whose entire business is built on collecting as much user data as possible.
