Oculus Rift with Touch

£100 Oculus Store Credit with Purchase

Then after a bit you start to regret it. Wee niggles and doubts start to appear and it becomes cumbersome. Then before you know it, its lying in the corner gathering dust.
For me at least, the end product just did not justify the outlay at this point in time.
Who knows, maybe in a couple of years it will be fantastic but we are now past the real early adopter stage and it is now looking at mainstream penetration even the PS4 VR headset hasn't set the heather on fire and given the PS3 was supposed to be a trojan horse for Blu-ray and it didn't really work compared to DVD I'm sure they would have thought VR might have had more success.
I cannot speak for the HTC Vive as I've only used Occulus and briefly played the VR headset on PS4.
It would take a real massive change now, in my opinion for VR to become mainstream. We aren't yet at the stage where we are all going to be doing a Ready Player One and logging on to the OASIS in a full haptic suit!

Yeah seen that deal before posting so though this is even better with £100 credit.
Just waiting for 4k headsets before getting PC VR.
You're best off watching review videos on Youtube to get a true understanding.
Good luck finding a PC that can support it. You need a fairly decent PC already to support the headsets out now and they are HD.
Every once in a while, new technology solves an old problem and a big idea turns into an innovation.
A PC that currently takes adavantage of 4K can run the current 4K VR fine.
It was a promotion that Oculous ran between 11-24 June, i can't find anything anywhere to say it's on again?
The guy on till said they don’t have in stock but can take order and will notify when arrive. £100 credit will be voucher with bundle.
Mine already easily runs 4K games. Overclocked 1080 based uber gaming PC
4k headsets really won't make much of a difference as you'd think. You'll still get the SDE. I've owned The Rift DK1, DK2 and CV1 and in my opinion FOV is king when it comes to VR. Pimax is going in the right direction with their 8k 200° FOV headset.

399 for all the kit plus 7 games and 100 quid credit is a killer deal.
If you've ever been sat on the fence about getting a rift, time to hop off

Holding off on VR until the second gen but this deal is enticing.
You have to experience it to understand what it's like, a video can't really explain it. However I have had one at work for a year, and still don't feel sure about buying one myself. It seems amazing at first, but the novelty rapidly wears off.
and having an IMAX cinema on your head... u can even have others join you in your own IMAX personal cinema...
I really disagree. I haven't watched anything in 3D on my TV for more than 15 minutes because I was just happier watching in 2D. But with VR I've bought nearly 30 games in one year because I love the experiences and unique gameplay so much.
The lack of decent games really doesn't help. I don't think enough developers understand enough about the psychology of VR to really do it justice. Playing a normal style game but in VR (e.g. Bound, a driving sim, a wave shooter) is okaaay for the 'hmm, its 3D and all around me' moment, but nowhere near delivers on the potential of what VR could provide. SuperHot is more interesting, in how it conditions the brain to process time differently, or Resident Evil 7 (by far the best PSVR title) for using the movement based sneakiness, peering round corners, sense of anticipation etc. But mostly I've found the lack of games, and the ideas behind the existing titles, woefully lame.
The £100 Oculous promotion was only valid 11th-24th June.
This deal shows it’s available now though. Could be store specific I guess unless anyone else has managed to get this elsewhere.
This was the promotion that ran 11-24 June
'Get £100 Oculus store credit when you purchase rift + touch
For a limited time only, get a £100 store credit to purchase digital content in the Oculus Store. With titles such as Batman Arkham VR, Superhot VR and Wilson’s Heart there’s plenty to choose from.'
It's an old promotion, if game are still displaying the poster then it's likely a mistake, i'm pretty sure no one has or will get this deal.
