Thank you! Does anyone know when you have to activate it by? My current subscription expires in May. (edited)

I did the offer last year and have had it for about 3 years now (not counting covid pause), not sure I'm going to renew again though as this year has been garbage for films, I've hardly used it, probably less than once a month. Hard choice though as my always empty local has put the price up to £16 a ticket now for some incompressible reason. (edited)

£16 is a ticket is extortionate! You have to wonder the logic of that when Vue sell tickets at £5.

What happens if Odeon go into liquidation? Do you just take the hit?
    Avatar
Yes. You'll also not get a refund if you die during the 12 months. Bloody disgrace!

Thanks, reminded me that I need to redeem the Groupon offer from earlier this year before the 31st December !

Mine runs out in July from the Groupon deal, I'll buy mid January and activate in 6 months, previous one lasted 30 odd months with covid closures..

If it wasn't for O2 priority I'd be all over this, reckon I've seen 40 films this year.

    They go stupidly fast now

Cheers, missed this last time when there was an error on their website meaning you couldn't actually add it to the basket.

    Nice one. Thanks for this!

Works for imax and stuff or just basic?
    Avatar
IMAX £5 extra per film roughly isense £2 standard seats (edited)

Does this work with meerkat movies?
    Avatar
    No
  11. Avatar
Can you stack these? I have a subscription until the end of august
  12. Avatar
Can you use this in conjunction with the meerkat codes?
    Avatar
Don't believe so, Cineworld used to be the only one with an equivalent offering that worked with Meerkat.

    Thanks

Do you have to pay extra for ISENSE? IMAX? Etc
    Avatar
Yes. I think it’s £1.50 for iSense and £2 for Dolby. Not sure about IMAX but watching avatar in 3d I’m sure I had to pay £4. (edited)

I believe the minimum age for membership is 16. So if you have younger kids then you have to pay full price for each film. So it's great if you don't have young kids, but a waste of money if you do.

remember when i spent 200 pounds for this, was not worth it when most of the films i saw were not that good, i saw about 50 movies that year but only about 12 of them were worth seeing in the cinema

These unlimited screenings tickets used to be a good idea back in the day. I think Cineworld had them. I go to the Vue near me at least 2 or so times a month but its only £4.99 a ticket. If Vue offered something like this I would probably take it. They often have older movies that I missed seeing in the cinema when they came out as I was a child lol like Die Hard etc.

From all the cinemas Ive been to Vue is the top dog in terms of the mainstream ones. Cineworld used to be garbage. I havent been in an Odeon in year but the last time I did it was soo old. Like they put zero investment in refurbing them. Maybe things have changed now.

I've never been to anything but odeon but cineworld have 4dx? It looks great but I've never tried it.

    Vue never been...

Odeon is expensive af.... costing me 35 quid for 2 people to see avatar in imax then snacks on top! Yikes

Does anybody have any advice how to cancel this? Signed up for it in September but don't want it anymore. Phone number listed on the website doesn't work. It states it's currently closed. Cannot seem to get any reply for emails except the standard " thanks You for contacting us"

Message them via the website or tweet them

Seems great price if you are an avid regular movie goer several times a month.
Generally I just use Groupon codes as nearly always available when something out want to see. They are about £5 a ticket and bit more for Luxe.

Thanks for the list! I only found 5 films in the whole year that I want to see at the cinema.. Money saved
