Odeon-Orange Wednesdays now online.

Im not sure how long this has been active but you can now book odeon cinema tickets for "Orange Wednesdays" online!

You can ONLY book on Wednesdays!

You go through the usual process then once you have confirmed details you go to the next page for payment.
The code box will be on the top left, put your orange wednesday code in and redeem!

This does not seem to be any kind of "one code per booking" deal as I used two to book 4 seats earlier.

Im not sure how useful this is to people but I know I shyed away for some going as it can get crazy busy when a popular film is out and more than once ive missed screenings from it being so busy!

Edit: There is an added 75P booking charge when booking online. I wasnt really aware of that as Ive been booking online for years. I presume the 75p is added into the price of buying one at the counter but I cant confirm it.
75P for two people is worth it to arrive whenever you like in my opinion.
Cheers!

That's great to know as I've avoided going when popular/big films are out for fear of it being to busy.
Thanks for posting.

What are the booking fees? Can you provide details of your costs for booking 4 tickets?

This is great! Don't they have a booking charge though?

Ive been on here 5yrs+ not posted a deal, might do one day you never know. Just wondered why you have to post "First "deal" so go easy!"

When I post a deal I'm going to say "first deal, flame me to death and rip it to shreds".

Voted hot btw

It's about time cinema's started letting you book orange wednesday's online. Saves on the massive queues at the cinema on a wedensday! Wish Vue would start doing this too...

I think it'll be more like ice you to death.

I'm sure it now called ee Wednesday

Voted hot, thanks for letting me know OP, does anyone know if you can book in advance? and if you pay the 0.75p admin fee on the free ticket? thanks x

Cracking tip! Thanks

Its about time.
Last time I used a orange wednesday there were queues outside the front doors.

About time!!!!

Its a way to make money since they charge a booking fee.

If memory serves, it's £1.75 booking fee per ticket. Could be wrong though as I don't tend to book online

This applies to 'instore' as well - as long as there's one paying person per code, you can use as many as you like. I've seen some use 4 codes in one transaction for a group of 8 before

You can only book on Wednesday for the same day, so for instance you could book Wednesday AM for a showing that same night.

You only pay 1x £0.75 admin fee (On the paid ticket) the other ticket is free.

Used this the last two weeks and saves so much hassle in long queues

this beats going in early (most probably during your lunch at work) to make sure you're not left with a corner seat.

I say 75p on booking fee is a bargain just for convenience sake.

Orange Wednesday is the reason why I avoid going that day, from what I remember years ago, long queues & a lot of groupies = noise, popcorn throwing etc . . just didn't seem worth it for the discount sometimes, a lot of movies spoilt. Thankfully found another money saving method and was a distant memory . . until now!
Voting hot and as stated above, saves queuing time plus cinema tickets are far more expensive now.

Even though there is a booking fee, if you are an Odeon premiere club member you save 15% on booking tickets online anyway

Our Odeon has never been half full. There's even a facebook group Boycott the Dorchester Odeon hey ho !

Mylocal cienma, Guildford Odeon, is an absolute rip off. It's great that they now allow you bo use the voucher online as by the time I get home from work and across to the cinema, the queue's coming out the door. Will happily pay the booking fee to avoid the queues and get the 241. Thanks OP.

Looking at your recent 'deals' I can see why you're confused. And obviously, you've never waited in the gargantuan lines on Wednesdays at the cinema...rather pay the booking fee.

Wonder how long it will take a jobsworth to come along and say "this isn't really a deal" and move it to a section where nobody will ever see it.

If there's no other volunteers for this I'll do it, but go easy as it's one of my first comments.....

Odeon charge 75p per ticket for online bookings but Premiere Club card holders get a 15% discount for booking online. This means that it's slightly cheaper to book that way at my local multiplex, as at £9.50 for a 2D movie in the evenings the discount brings it down to £8.76 after fees.

Although I don't believe the 15% discount can be used in conjunction with Orange Wednesday codes, so tickets work out at £5.50ea after the BOGOF discount if booked online for my local Odeon or £4.75 if bought in person.

Only problem is the c..p website. Usually find it crashes, no matter what time, and you have to end up phoning, and paying more to do so!

How can you think 75p is a bargain, your saving them money by making the booking yourself instead of their staff having to serve you, then you get rewarded for that by getting charged extra when its acually saving them money.

Put it this way, how come these greedy gits charge an extra 75p to book online, yet cineworld give you a 10% discount?

Agreed, booking fee is an absolute ridiculous notion. It may be convenient for you, but it is cheaper for them and you are guaranteeing them a sale in advance.

It's fairly obvious why, it's because online forums are festering with trolls, and they have a habit of picking on new members. Personally I tend to favour new members that do post deals, over members for 5+ years that haven't posted any deals.

Paying 75p extra doesn't really strike me as a great deal.

I personally think it should be written in the title that the cost is +75p, as I think most people are voting hot without knowing about the 75p fee, me being one of those. If I had knew about the extra 75p for nothing it would have been cold from me and many others.

You also get to choose your seats. And dont forget you're getting half price tickets anyway - do cineworld offer that with their online bookings?

Pay 75p, save yourself half an hour queuing, and get a good seat. HOT HOT HOT. Shame Vue don't do the same.

I havent been to an odeon for ages, but do they have separate tickets and popcorn tills? At vue, you buy your ticket at the popcorn counter, but last time I went to an odeon (years ago) you had to queue up twice.

I'm just thinking odeon might lose money over this. If you don't have to queue to buy your orange wednesdays ticket, you are less likely to buy an overprices sweet/salty snack, or a bucket of coke.

Can someone explain, if you book online, you choose a seat and you process the payment, where does the admin fee apply? You've done all the work for them.

Thanks for the notification, great news! Cinemas are finally catching up with the 2000's!!! Come on Vue, take a lesson...! HOT!

Freeloader.

Never had trouble getting a seat in any Odeon or even queued for tickets, Vue on the other hand manages to pack a full theatre for films that have been out for weeks oO Guess it depends on the availability and size of local cinemas though.

Odeon have outsourced their card processing to a third-party, hence the fee.

As most have already said, paying 75p for a guaranteed seat and not having to queue is a fair price

Great mate, thanks. Shame VUE can not do similar..
