For anyone wanting a cheap iPhone whose not had iPhones then the 7 is the perfect one, still super fast and still getting updates and will for probably a couple more years at least, it’s barely any more expensive than a 6s and far cheaper than a not much better iPhone 8. This is the perfect phone for younger kids you don’t yet trust with a £500+ phone

Is it much better than the 6s? I'm looking to upgrade for my daughter and this is what she currently has?

Upgrades include stereo speakers, water resistant, better processor and cameras. Nice little upgrade but nothing earth shatteringly better than 6s.

It’s a little better but she won’t actually notice any different, her 6s has just got its last iOS update so she will get a year out of it. To be honest though you can probably sell that for £100 ish so only paying £40-£50 extra but she won’t see any difference and it looks the same so for all it’s newer any differences are so small you’d need both side by side to see the differences. Really from a 6s an 8 is needed to see a difference and even then I’d say the extra for a xr, x is worth it as they really are a lot better, but a lot more expensive too. My kids have the 7 and they’ve had them a while so want new phones but the costs are a lot so I’m making them wait too next year when they can get my Xs so I’ll not be forking out a fortune.

I only went from a 6 to a 7 3 years ago for the waterproof phone been a Postie it was worth it but I noticed no diffence in the phones at all and that was from a 6.
I’m just waiting on a iPhone SE 64GB (which supports the latest iOS) I paid £63.99 for delivered from musicmagpie. Third time I’ve ordered refurb from musicmagpie (other 2 times were good) but this time the battery was completely ****ed turning itself off at 50% charge and stating: “service” on the battery settings. Returned that to musicmagpie and now awaiting on a replacement to be sent out that (hopefully) will work.

In reference to one of the comments in this thread, I would agree with him - but also include the SE as a recommended phone for anyone wanting a iPhone that’s cheap, but fast, with the latest iOS and can do whatever you want it todo
