To check eligibility, all students need is a valid email address from a participating school to complete the sign-up process. Afterwards, in addition to gaining access to the Office suite of products, students will also score 1TB of OneDrive storage and access to Office Online from a browser.
I'm not optimistic we'll be included, but great deal for anybody who is eligible!

Just been doing this! I tried using the website for uploading but it takes forever. On window 8.1/8 you should have the OneDrive app already on your computer and using the app is wayyyyy faster!
Of course, never use web upload.
ignorant/ arrogant twit, valid question to ask, not like he or she came out of their mother's womb with the knowledge
Thanks dude was planning to use the app.
according to description of Office Univ edition:
Get the full, installed Office experience on up to 2 PCs, Macs, or tablets (including iPad® and Android™ tablet) and 2 phones
I got an email from my kids school saying that they were able to each install on up to 5 devices. So we've got 10 available! Installed with no problem on 3 already.
At least it seems he actually went to school and learnt how to write properly.
It didn't accept my Teesside Uni address (@tees.ac.uk) but it did accept (@live.tees.ac.uk)
ok i apologise but come on if you are a network manager at a school who has bought or is responsible for buying the microsoft license which must have cost quite a bit i would expect them to at least know what they have purchased its not like he said he is just a worker there.He/she said they are a manager there they should know what is being being bought or do you expect them to just purchase any random license for the school pcs.
Public funds are usually spent on random neccessaties
you are doing it again
As to your question bilboalex1, I too am a Network Manager at a school and I have done extensive investigation on this "deal". So long as you have a valid OES-ES (Formally EES) agreement, you are eligible for free Office 365 for your staff and students. However, currently, the only way to give this to staff & students is if you have an Office 365 for Education tenancy at your school. If you don't, there is nothing really stopping you from signing the school up at it is completely free for schools. You don't need to replace your current email server, but it comes with free Exchange Online built in which will ease the burden in your IT Support if you have your own Exchange server. Anyway, that's one for the future, but back to the matter at hand, all you need to do is sign up and register your domain for Office 365 for Education. Once you've done this, your users will be able to log in and download Office 365 for themselves. The copy of Office is valid for the duration a student is at the school and for the duration the staff member is an employee. Hope that helps!
You think he should call the ICT Helpdesk for assistance ? (_;) X)
That's a shame, I was hoping they would be eligible!
I'm sorry are you from another planet? Even Google translate can't decipher what you typed.
