Office 365 (5 user) at lowest price I've ever seen. OK, some don't like it because it is a subscription service, but for those who do, you are unlikely to ever get a 12-month renewal code at anywhere near £39. Usually sell from between £50-£55 on eBay. In Tesco, Ayr, but label showing £79 reduced to £39 (printed label on the shelf edge) was not the 'store specific' reduction (yellow) label often seen in Tesco stuck onto the reduced item.

ADDED: Now reported available at this price in Bedford and Horsham, so not just a 'one store wonder'. Also, Clifton Moor, York

For the sake of clarity. This deal is for the Office 365 (5 user) where the card with the license number comes in the small orange and white cardboard box. This has now been replaced with a thinner folded over piece of card, with the license card inside, and that stock code sells at £79. It's the one in the box that sells for £39. Those are the ones to look out for.

Heat added! Already got a sub but might consider this to hold off for next year.

I understand why this was posted but making this effectively an annual subscription is just greed. Voted cold on that principle.

So you understand why this was posted (because it is a hot deal), but you vote cold because you disagree with the manufacturer's marketing model? Are you aware that Microsoft give you a choice of purchasing / licensing models? You can still buy one-off licences for the various Office packages.

Does this come with a free Laptop like the John Lewis deal?

This is the 5-user - so you get 5 free laptops, and a tablet (_;)

Definitely a bargain if available accross all stores.

Personally I don't object to the subscription plan now that Microsoft will be offering UNLIMITED OneDrive storage to Office 365 subscribers.

Some of the people on the John Lewis deal thread were already on tablets and others needed to change their dosage or start a new regime.

I've found it difficult to buy Office 2010 (with Access) at a reasonable price w/o fear of fakeness. Where would you go for a copy of 2010?

Other than that, yeah.

The most valuable item included is the unlimited storage with Onedrive, worth the package even if you don't use any of the office products. Go and see how much is dropbox

Can you install this on the same laptop for five consecutive years, using one licence each year? This would give five years of MS Office at a good price.

So you have to use all 5 licences at the same time?

No but they all end 1 year from the date of the first registration. If you purchase more than one you can stack them and have multiple years on the license i.e. 2 gives two years and 3 gives three years. You can install it on one PC and then send invites out to up to 4 other other family members/friends to share the licensed period.

Thanks! I know a lot of Tesco deals can be a bit of a wild goose chase - I hope this isn't the case here, and that others are getting the benefit of the deal around the country. The saving is enough to make it a hot deal for anyone who needs the subscription, but not such a huge saving as to justify 'eBay speculators' buying them up in bundles. I bought two, with a view to using one code when my existing subscription expires in May, and keeping the other until next year.

It's a good deal but i'm not a fan of subscription services for software, I'll stick with the very good and free Libra Office

Tesco tesco, what u gonna do
Click expired when it gets posted...

Oh and cold.

Sorry to sound thick but how can I buy this? Do I have to drive to Ayr?

If so its a little bit of a mission for me and the £200 in fuel probably negates the saving

Or student licence £59 for four years 60 mins Skype and cloud storage

Totally mad. This deal was spammed last week when it came up in John Lewis and here it goes hot. What is going on with the moderators?

The original posting makes clear that the shelf pricing for this item did not appear to be 'store specific'. It is therefore likely that a number of Tesco stores will have this offer. You do not have to drive to Ayr, but it may be worth taking a look in your local Tesco if it has a computing department.

I wouldn't bother looking in TESCO because they never have anything I have ever seen on UK hot deals in any of my local stores. Uk hot deal for two copies in Ayr....don't think so!

We all know that Tesco can sometimes be a bit of a wild goose chase for deals, especially for 'yellow label' reductions. However, these were shown at the reduced price with a printed shelf edge card, suggesting that they were not unique to this store. Sure, I have seen Tesco deals on here, gone to my local store, and not found any, but there again, I have found some cracking bargains too. I really doubt that Ayr is the only Tesco in the UK with this stock item at this price.

I dislike Microsoft and I dislike the subscription model. This is still a hot deal! I might even be tempted!

The onedrive thing interests me, I looked into o365 because of the price of dropbox and the 1tb/unlimited onedrive being included made me wonder if this was a go-er.. I read a lot that says that onedrive is by far not a match for dropbox so do your research if that's turning your head.

BTW don't get the student licence if you're not a student as you'll be just as illegit as if you just downloaded it off your favourite torrent site (unless you're only looking for an easy ride with actually getting it working online :))

I think i'll check out my local Tesco tho....

Or you could just get it the dodgy way for free Microsoft have enough money they don't need my support.

Ok we have two copies in Ayr and one in Bedford....is that a UK deal....has the uk turned into two towns! It's the biggest wild goose chase that one could ever has the displeasure to start chasing....I may be proved wrong...let everyone who finds one to add a picture of their find...
