I go to so many meetings and want to capture a whiteboard - but its on a funny angle that needs adjusting, cutting and so on so I don't bother - But this free App does it all! Well done to Microsoft...

Fear not, it works very well on blackboards too.

What about yellowboards and mochaboards?

my ricoh caplio r4 camera from 10 years ago had this feature of post processing a photo of text taken from an angle.
so, an old idea. (but I realise of course that this has additional text OCR)

btw, never used it at all.

Twisting trapezoids
A curious 'skew correction mode' feature selectable through the scene mode menu automatically detects trapezoids in images and corrects the perspective so the object appears as if they were shot 'head on'.
Although you could easily do this in Photoshop, it's a fun feature and handy when you're photographing things like whiteboards, documents and magazines.

Leonardo da Vinci did this too - but he's equally difficult to resurrect from the dead everytime you're at a bus stop and want to snap a poster...

Great app, but buggy as hell on Android. Hangs a lot and crashes. It's also big - 144mb for what is basically a camera with some editing ability. Had a to set up an Office account to save it to Word.

Not voting it cold (or hot) as when it works it's fab - it could be it works best on a Windows phone.
