RRP is £7.99 - Cold

Freezing! Utter price gouging, plus whats the point of the controller if you can't get the console thanks to Nintendo's idiotic decision to axe it.

If you need a second NES mini controller it's worth noting the Wii classic controller and classic controller pro (but not wii U pro controller) can be used with it. Even if you must have the official NES design, I'd still hold off as I can see the price of NES mini peripherals tanking over time as there just won't be enough people with NES minis to maintain a market for them.....

As the extra controller was available on a low ratio compared to consoles made unless they have since made more or upped the production of controllers before discontinuing them then why would the demand not be there?

Potentially as there are loads of 3rd party controllers available very cheap from Amazon etc which I'm sure are still in production. In comparison, there are no 3rd party versions of the console

Maybe this specific one but there are already loads of third party replicas presumably made under the assumption the NES mini would have a far longer run than it did. If your not fussy about the nice box and official branding you can already get them very cheaply and as mentioned a lot of people may still even have classic controllers laying around which work just as well if your not bothered about it actually looking like a nes controller, plus the classic controller is much better suited to SNES games if you decide to mod it to put them on....

The rate at which the price has shot through the roof on these things (and the console), you're almost better off just buying the original hardware lol

I bought a couple of wireless pads from banggood for £7 each a month or so a go.
I can highly recommend these but the price is up at £11 at the moment but still worth it.
