Cheers, no one else seems to think so! Ha, well I thought a tenner for a large Yankee was a bargain! Just you and I then.

Yeah strange, hot from me.

Two of the reviewers said it can be sooty (ruined an ivory bridesmaid dress too apparently), so just a warning if anybody goes for them.

Wick was too long
U can cut the wick your advised to cut them if you look on there site not a lot do though
People also pull there face at Yankee’s like how much for a candle if you like them.. you like them if you begrudge it it’s no reason to vote cold
i trimmed wick to correct length and still very sooty would not buy again
What a funny bunch of people HUKD folk are as it seems that so many know the price of everything and value of nothing!!

Ten pounds each is a bargain and I'd be all over these like a rash if I hadn't already over-stocked.

To the folk who say the candle are sooty orsmoke too much - I say read the instructions.

To those who say the candles are too expensive - I say you are welcome to your opinion but you should not vote this deal down just because you are biased against expensive candles. This is a good price for what is on offer and that is what this site is supposed to be all about.

I am truly amazed, been burning Yankee candles (not their cheaper version) for more years than I can count and have one and frequently 2 on the go in different parts of the house and I have never had a problem with them being sooty/smokey or anything else untoward. Therefore, I am very curious to know what you mean by sooty please?

Is it only these straight jar, single wick candles that give problems?

If so, my immediate thought is that either the wick is too long or the candle has been burning for too long or not long enough. I know the last two suggestions seem to contradict each other but that's the way things work sometimes.

I've just found this silly video from Yankee which is designed to sell you all sorts of gizmos that you don't need but it does set out their recommendations for looking after your candles.

Well, we've had these and we didn't have this issue.
