I don't know if it's a good deal but don't we have more than enough humidity already?

Yes but I use one of these with citronella oil in it to keep the flies and bugs that come with hot weather out and it's great
I saw the prices goes down to £8.00 sometimes. I would wait and buy it for cheaper because I'm in no rush

True, but not this model which gets really good reviews. This is the cheapest it’s been in a long time.

What exactly do these things do?

It’s an illuminated plastic cup that you add water into and it vibrates tiny fast pulses (white noise/low hum) that creates a mist of steam or ‘smoke’ (water vapour).

If you added a few drops of essential oil into the water at the beginning - the mist will smell really nice and carry the fragrance from the pure oil essences.

They usually cost about £10-£25 and some models have mode buttons for low/high mist, light change or timer settings.

They can be quite cool when they work for longer than 6 months.

If you have a dry cough at night the larger humidifiers can bring some relief by adding moisture to the air but you to have to be very very careful and thorough with weekly cleaning of any residue buildups and especially mould. Soaking it in white vinegar / citric acid solution should be enough with a water after rinse but as long as you keep it up. Don’t want to be breathing any spores and this should be a warning printed with every device sold. (IMO)
Thanks

I have a citronella candle and really like the smells. Did not know this scent keeps the bugs away. I owned a few of similar diffusers so will get some citronella oil.
