Looks nice

just bought this last week when it was £39.99, would argos give back the difference?

I bought this last year from Matalan believe it or not, it was £35 if I remember correctly, on offer, its a fantastic BBQ, really regret leaving it out to get rusty
Will be buying this again for sure!: oops:

We wanted to get this BBQ last year, but it was too expensive.
Thanks

ahh ****** i got the half drum 3 weeks ago for £33 and it game with 2 right side legs so i had to bodge it to set it up for the BBQ that evening.

I had the same last year, and also left it out to get rusty
However we've had a lot of Argos returns appearing at our car boot lately, so I managed to pick up this one for 20 quid. Should do me well come the next bit of sunshine!

EDIT: Hot BTW, this was a great BBQ.

Not voting hot or cold, I built one at the weekend from a real oil drum, not this tiny crap. Total cost less then £5. It did however involve finding someone willing to give me an oil drum(apprently they are non-returnable) and a slight eliment of skip diving was involved.

What about the grill / warming tray?

I'd rather have a brand new bbq than something dragged out of some ones skip:roll:

How can it be fantastic if it gets rusty at the slightest bit of dampness? If this BBQ was ever double the price then it's getting into Weber territory which last a lifetime.

Mine was left out all year without a cover, was fine for a few months but after that started to rust. By the time I moved the lid was pretty bad, and I was too lazy to sort it out. TBH its happened to most BBQs I've owned!

Exactly!! no matter how much they cost if they are left in the rain for 12 months they will rust.

Of course they will, however the downside is if the price had gone up you would have been obliged to go into the shop and give them some more money.

Well the drum used to have engine oil in it, it certainly burned well when it was lit on a "trial" burning.

Only the legs (an old desk) came out of a skip, and to be fair they had been placed into the skip only seconds before. Its all clean its all been washed :-D and its MASSIVE.

Castrol kebabs - nice!

I had this same BBQ years ago from Argos and kept in garden with cover and lasted a good few years. Its a decent size but lack of control vents when cooking with lid down. Not bad for the money. Prefer my brick built one now which will last many a year

nice one iam of to Argos

Does anybody know if this type of BBQ is easier to clean compare to the normal one?

Line the bottom with foil then you can just lift it out.

Thanks for the reply. I have been doing that to my old round shaped BBQ. It requires quite a lot of foil, otherwise the fire will just melt it.

Does anyone know where to get a cheap cover for this BBQ? Don't want it to rust like the last one ...

poundland

thinking of getting this (seems price ends today)

anyone who has this, is it easy enough to cook for just 2 on this, ie can you just put charcoal in part of it or do you need loads every time you light it?!
cheers

I bought this bbq the past weekend. The handle is broken (hole is too big for the screw). The get it replaced without any hassle. It works great. The size is definitely a plus, enough to fit my dog in it. Not that I'll actually going to do that though. :-)

mmm bbq dog...

Its 39.99 now
