These kits are a total rip off.

I bought the chicken one the other day and all it had in the rather large box was 10 pancakes, a sachet of salsa sauce and breadcrumbs.

Over £2.50 for that, I will avoid these in future.

If only you'd waited a while.....you could have paid £3.00 for TWO kits, would you still complain ? :whistling:

£2.50 where do you get that figure from?

'El Paso Crispy Chicken Kit', only it does not come with 'Crispy Chicken'.

I could probably buy the pancakes separately plus some meat to put in them for less than £3.00. :whistling:

Sorry my mistake....I've corrected it now.
Anyway, when you go shopping next week, make sure you bypass the "El Paso Crispy Chicken Kits", buy some chicken, pancakes and salsa and let us know how you get on.
Maybe you could invent a mrtea fajita kit then post it as a deal on here and we could all vote on how hot we think it is ;-)

If you thought that a box bought off the shelf contained crispy chicken, what sort of shelf life did you expect it to have - 6 hours perhaps ? :?

How can this not be voted HOT

How shocked was I to discover it was nothing but a packet of pancakes and a couple of bags of flavouring. The packet has been sitting in my cupboard ever since. The guy who came up with the idea of selling a packet of pancakes and renaming them an El Paso kit must be laughing all the way to the bank. Two for the price of one is a little bit better than £2.99 for one but they are still overpriced to begin with.

....yeah the old el paso man,Dr Oetker and Cap'n Birdseye all sitting on their yachts laughing at us....its convenience food, deal with it,chuck some in your basket and move on :p!
