Great price for 750ml.

Little bit light in taste for me, but a great price!

Is this because it simply tastes like cat p*ss and therefore they can't sell the stuff?

Oh dear, if you've tasted cat p*ss no wonder your taste buds are shot, I'm sure mine would be! Mind you, 750ml bottles are rather large for beer, so maybe they are trying to dispose of it!

Store specific. What store???

Your logic is flawed my friend. If I had already tasted cat p*ss and also this cheap ass ale, then I would already know if they tasted the same and I wouldn't be asking that very question. The fact I've asked if this tastes like cat p*ss shows I have yet to experience one or both of the options.

No. It tastes like trolls p*ss.

Not trolling. It's a genuine question. Does it taste awful or is it any good? Lighten up. It's sunny and all's good.

It's very much like a summer ale so quite light, as with most things in life (including cat's p*ss) it is down to personal taste.

Compared to something like Fosters, it's about 10 times better and it's fine as a real ale, although a lighter taste as others have said. I mean it comes from the same stable as Old Speckled Hen, do you really expect it to be bad?

Sorry for my flawed logic; but yes, I do quite like the stuff. Go on, try it, you are only risking £1 after all! :-)

Want to know how it tastes? I found this but not sure if the guy is serious or not, it's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen...

Poured from the brown bottle into a nonic pint glass.

Shimmering tone of a body. Beaming and poished crystal clear body, buttery gold and easy to see through with a bright glow. Scattered streams of carbonation through the body, most of it fine and fast rising. Head is very bright white and soapy, with a good amount of retention for a lighter brew. Bowled puck and soapy thick clean.

Aroma is biscuity classic, with sweet honey hints and beeswax like quality. Tends to forego classic crackling toast for sweetness but with a nice control. Real excellent match of honey and chewy biscuit almost graham like malts on the nose.

Palate sort of escapes everything expected. Toasty but almost mineral flat thin like body in feel, with a mid palate that washes just a bit clean and fleeting on the palate. Mild toast but with a bit of sharp burnt grain finish, mixing with an interesting almost acrid bitterness. Dry crackling flavors, but not in feel strangely.

A bitter that on first whiff an appearance seems to hint at a real good appearance but ends in the middle of the road.

£1.25 a bottle at Costcutter.

It's a decent ale, easy to drink.

He's serious, plenty of reviews on there like this.

It's okay, not my favourite. My girlfriend prefers it to specked hen.

Fine with big jugs

Now that's the way to serve beer (whatever the brand!).

At least it aint another Tesco goose chase because I know it's marked £1.99 in our Tesco :-(

One man's cat's p*ss is another man's ambrosia.
I happen to like it, so I've just popped to my local Tesco and cleared the shelf.
Priced on the shelf at £1.99, it scanned at £1.00, as 'CIDER 750ML'

750ml for £1..... heat added of course, for the deal.

It's not a review site.

Will go down well with the (wild) goose I`m having on Sunday.

Nice light fruity drink love it

They had this deal in my local store, but all the stock was sold out. The 750ml bottles of Old Speckled Hen were the same price, but also sold out.
