Fortunate to have a store reasonably nearby so i'll be off to grab a case for a party at the weekend and a couple of spares for the beer cupboard. Great deal

got mine @ Jarra ..... they have (had?) plenty today. Don't believe they would send it all to the northeast, despite the reputation for swilling. Perhaps they feel sorry for the poor mags playing in fizzy pop?? ;-) Or maybe for us mackems after the Chelsea game :-(|

Lucky Northerners!

Hi,
The old speckled hen in Home Bargains is difinitely the 500ml size for £1.39. I assume because Mackemdan has been and bought some of these he knows that they are the smaller bottle (355ml). Still a good deal and would work out at approx 70p for the 500ml size.

apols for the duffish gen. As you say, still a bargain tho

Shame because it's a cracking deal. Not got time to visit the others :x

Had about 6 cases left in Jarra today at dinnertime, sadly I could only carry one as I had other stuff to carry but I will be going back tomorrow, no diubt to stare sadly at the spot where they had been......

Not the best ale in the world but canny value at around 70p for 500ml.

Went to the Leeds store at lunchtime and they had plenty available. They are the 355ml ones but at less than 50p a bottle you can't argue and price per ml is cheaper than the 500ml ones at Home Bargains.

They are the bottles meant to go in multipack boxes and so have no barcodes which caused a bit of confusion at the cheakout. I'm guessing they bought a job lot which were missing the correct boxes, hence the low price.

Also walked out with some other interesting looking ales which were around £1 per standard 500ml bottle.

was in birmingham small heath branch today, they had alot of these still for sale, i put a few in basket then decided to look at the dates, all july august so i put them back as i didnt want to drink the 12 in one go. and i didnt have time to enquire if they had later dates but im presuming they didnt. good if you have a party soon or drink alot of ale. not good if you want to keep for some months and then drinking out of date beer.

??? what ??? - surely you are not suggesting that you actually KEEP beer - and potentially that you may do this for MONTHS ???
