Older Console Games as from 50p free delivery from CEX Online!

All video games and prices are cheaper than anywhere else especially when you factor in postage and packaging. Beats the crap out of Ebay. Bear in mind though that they are 2nd hand but have been tested beforehand, so no bad apples.

Free delivery is on everything that can be purchased online; this represents a fraction of what they have instore though

Their site is currently broken for some reason...

keep in mind that tested to cex means, if it looks like a cd then it must work. have to say, you get what you pay for and roll the dice every time with them.
i have had some near pristine items of them and some that have been given to a cat as a scratching post. :whistling:

but all that said i will continue to occasionally by of them due to the prices they offer. the risk as they say is worth taking if you can save a few bucks.

It certainly is. Oh my. Just seen you live in Northern Ireland - is the Ballymena cex anywhere near you? Its irritating, i got a voucher hoping they would get the game in the brighton one but they never did, but to be honest id buy it from anywhere now....

Just ordered for the Dreamcast: 4 VMU's, 2 Vibration packs and Sega Bass fishing all for £3.20 delivered. You cant argue at those prices.

is the website working for you? everytime i click on something it says 'page cannot be found'
have tried deleting cookies and the usual tricks, still no good...

I couldn't click to look at details, but if an item is available to buy online you can just click 'add to basket' from the product list.

i buy quite a lot of stuff from the one in derby and have never had any problems,

I used to work for CEX, If only you knew the stuff they used to keep on their servers LOL. Good for a bit of retro and Gamecube 3rd party accesories thats about it refunds take a LONG time too.

when im at home it is (20mins drive) the only problem is i dont think i will be able to get into town before i return to belfast. If i do i will pick you up a copy and let you know

CEX used to be OK but i've gone off them since i made an order in February which i never received. They haven't responded to any of my emails (they were polite ones too!) so its pretty hard to feel positive about them.

I always had good experiences with Cex until i bought a phone with two batteries - not thinking to read the small print on the battery it was actually for a completely different phone. THey wouldnt give me a credit note or offer another battery because they said that it was a working battery regardless of what phone it was for. Needless to say i was pretty disgusted.

Cex have good prices but they need to sort their staff and customer services out.

Twin Snakes for £20!? It's going for triple that on ebay. I'll sell mine for £50 ;-)

same here, in the end had to put it down to experience and never got my refund,no replies to emails and could never contact them via phone either. i would avoid this company at all costs. voted cold

this is nothing new - cex have sold items cheap online for some time - i bought 4 x PS1 games for £2.20 delivered - also bought cheap Wii games - Millionaire for £8 and Anubis II for £4 - although i only bought that to resell.

you can get some cracking deals - ok the 50p games are ancient but still good, and even newer games can be cheap - PSP games from £1.00

if the link doesn't work, try clicking on the original link and changing the https:// to http:// (ie drop the 's') and it should work.

Have you tried calling them? I tried ordering a ps2 ethernet adapter from them before for £20. There was only 1 left. It was a few days after I didnt recieve anything. i instantly phoned them up to see whats up with my order. They said that they found the actual adapter but not the disc. So they we will refund your account back within a few days. I was like ok. I got e-mails saying that my order was recieved. I never got an e-mail saying that the item is not available and that payment was to be refunded....

Got sorted via telephone though

Just ring them up

CEX use to be good, I guess at one time they were the best (computer exchange days), Now they are just a joke. It's still ok to buy and sell abit from them as long as you know what you're doing.

haha, ill get one from cex eventually. If there are people out there selling it to cex for a tenner, im sure someone will sell it to me for £15/20....

i got premier league allstars for PS1 for 20p a few months back from them.

to those who never got their items, ring them and you will get a refund. check saynoto0870.com for the cheapy number to call.

as for those sending games and things in and waiting 4 months - ive never had such problems - i send them loads of items and the longest i waited for payment was 3 weeks - the shortest was 1 day. send the items via courier and put your order number on front of box - they sort them boxes out first as its easier to ascertain what is in the boxes.

Strangely enough, WE SELL is how much they sell it for, PAY CASH is how much they'll give you in cash for it and GIVE EXCHANGE is how much they'll give you in part exchange...

The "We sell for" refers to how much the item is sold for in cash, like in a normal shop.

"Pay cash" is how much cash they will give you for an item - sometimes this varies depending on item condition etc... - you can take it into a store or post it to them i think.

"Give exchange" is how much credit note/discount off another purchase they will give you for an item and is generally a bit more than they pay cash value - again this varies depending on item condition etc... - you can take it into a store or post it to them i think.

"Pay Cash" technically means how much they would be willing to pay in cash if they actually had any cash in the store. A lot of the time they don't seem to have any. As a rule of thumb it seems you'll get two-thirds what they sell it for in exchange, or one-third in cash.
I've generally found their products to be in excellent condition. They rejected an xbox controller I wanted to sell them in store because the bloke found a small nick in the cable, which is pretty good quality control for an exchange shop. They also give everything a quick test before they buy it. I haven't tried to claim on their 12 month guarantee yet.

Dude you cant just post oh cex sell games from 50p - at least post some suggestions

Why is this expired????????

I've sold things to Cex before. Never bought from them though.

are there geographical numbers for the stores ? saynoto0870 brings up customer services but its always busy!
