Fossil have just announced two new models which don't have the flat tyre screen so I guess the price drop is a reaction to that. Not a bad price for the watches, but I'd hold on for a few weeks to see how low they drop

3 weeks and still not received my order... very disappointed to say the least

Original Poster

I received the same email as ameeds above about no longer being able to guarantee pre-Christmas delivery, but received this yesterday following my complaint:

"As this is a constant changing picture, I am actually pleased to report that we received another drop of these today and we are processing all orders on a first come first serve basis…Your order is one of the next to be sent."

And have just received despatch confirmation, so it should be here later this week.

I've just cancelled my order and included the following reason. Over promise and under deliver. It's ok giving updates over email, but great customer service companies know how to recover when they make mistakes. To quote Richard Branson, mistakes are inevitable but dissatisfied customers are not. You could have offered free next day delivery when the items finally came back in stock but dispite my request you instead send me a "boiler plate" response!

I asked for a refund. Unfortunately I found their lack of communication and their attitude to the whole situation quite poor. I won't be using them again, the minimal saving on the purchase was not worth the hassle in my opinion. I went with the Crampton & Moore deal on here, and have received fantastic customer service, and more importantly what I ordered, with updates on the current status of my order.

Sonos Update

Following further discussions with our supplier it has become apparent that whilst it was always our expectation to be able to fulfill every order pre-Christmas, we are frustratingly no longer able to guarantee that this is the case. Sonos continue to work extremely hard in an attempt to meet our requirements but sadly on the back of unprecedented demand for the Sonos Play 1 in white and black over the Black Friday Weekend, it is becoming increasingly unlikely that they will satisfy 100% of our requirements this side of Christmas for these two lines.

As a consequence we would fully understand if any customer would prefer us to process a cancellation of their order which will in turn release any funds which may have been held to complete the order with us. Of course if any customers are happy to continue to wait for their purchase at this market leading price we will continue to work hard with the supplier to complete the order as quickly as we possibly can.

We will be contacting all customers to advise of this situation.

In the meantime, Oldrids & Downtown would like to apologise for this matter and the frustration that this may have caused.

Best regards, Andrew (Head of IT / Projects)

Apologies to everyone still awaiting delivery of their Sonos order, we are trying to rectify this situation as quickly as possible and have escalated this issue with our suppliers who are due to provide us with another update tomorrow morning, which we will communicate accordingly.

We fully understand the frustration this issue has caused (particularly on the run up to Christmas) which is sincerely regrettable and apologise for the inconvenience.

In addition to addressing the stock situation, we have increased our staffing levels to assist with the queries being received and apologise to anyone that has not yet received an update which is being addressed.

Best regards, Andrew (Head of IT / Projects)

I've had the same issue. Apparently there were so many orders!

Received mine a couple of days ago also. Not a scam.

I received the two I ordered today.

LG LAS750M 4.1 Wireless Soundbar £178.98 @ Oldrids & Downtown

The compact form factor does not reproduce sound correctly like it was supposed to be played. Nothing is recorded at 4.1 so it would not play accurately anyway. For the compactness you lose the sound wattage as well. So if having a party drum beats from a whoofer would sound like metal beats from small tweeters

Same price yes, but this is a Soundbar not a Home Theatre System - there's a difference. Soundbars are aimed at giving you great sound in a much more compact form factor vs the jumble of having 5 speaker you need to dot about the place.

If you would much prefer that, then yes that would infact be great but for some people, their only option is a Soundbar.

Mine has been dispatched, looks like they will honour the misprice. Sorry to the rest of you that missed out.

I tried John Lewis but they had gone out of stock before they got round to looking, ah well

cracking price. ordered. Will be good to link up to Map S1. Cheers.

Gutted. Just found out my order wasn't fulfilled. wish I'd John Lewis price matched instead of having faith in a smaller retailer.

Just spoke to Oldrids. Someone tried to order 12 of these in one go yesterday. Nice to see the greed of certain HUKDers is alive and well

vax u88 pet vacuum £79 @ Oldrids
vax u88-amm-pe I was looking for a new vacuum and happened to find this bargain. Looks like a decent vacuum. Couldnt find it cheaper anywhere else. Its still £150 in the curys sale.

Also switched from a Dyson to one of these after being amazed by a friends , Dysons have had there day , picks up so much better than any Dyson I've owned and beautifully made.

Its a brilliant vac hardly any pet hair gets in the brushes unlike dysons, it picks up better than a dyson, I got fed up with several broken dysons and went over to vax with a different model. Carpet was done with a dyson then went straight over it with the vax its amazing how much the vax picked up that the dyson had left behind. I got this advertised model black friday deal 2014 which was only to be a second one for upstairs, no problems with it yet, and is used several times a day, and it is so good its the only one I use. This one is so light weight, very easy to get upstairs, the suction is truly amazing the steering takes a bit of getting used to but is brilliant once you master it.

They are a pain it's true they do break a lot!!

Only good for vacuuming up small pets though.

Oh, and about £80 is the going price, anything else is the obligatory price inflation to later give the eye catching reductions.

I just bought this on Thursday last .But from Comet for the same price . Absolutely stunning .
Was in all the shops ,looking at every make , Toshibas ,LG's , Panasonic's and Samsungs etc .
Judging by the picture quality it looked the best , so I got it .
It was to replace my TH37 Panny , non HD I've had for 7 or 8 years .Normally I would have never bought an LG as I've seen some with horendous picture quality in the past . Not knowing if I'd made the right choice ,I did a seach on the net . Not a bad word to say about this model , excellent reviews .Well pleased I am and a steal at the price compared to the £1200 I paid for the Panny and another £200 for extra terminal boards and £150 for the stand .

Good price with the warranty! if not worried about the warranty you can get it for £348 delivered at rgb direct.

I've got the LG 42PJ550, this model is virtually the same as the PJ550 and 650 version, however this one is locked down so you cannot play movies using the USB port, if they have it available go for the 550 or 650 series, that's the only difference between these three. Cracking TV though...

Would buy it, if it was full HD because I'm wanting to upgrade, but this is a great price for someone who is wanting one of these, and is a good price for what you get. Heat added
