Cartridges are very expensive to replace for this

Have you tried Ebay for the cartridges.

£20 each on ebay for the IN502:?

I have one of these, pretty good printer, wireless works well (but can only use either bluetooth or wifi at once). Good scanner, fast copier, not exactly the best at photo printing (unless you buy the photo cartridge, then it gets closer to dedicated photo printer country)

Unlike many other printers you get FULL black and colour cartridges with this printer. Got mine in October 2006 and still using the original cartridges (40% left equally).

BUT, and it's a big but, it doesn't work under Vista yet (just bought the ~£300 Dell so I've been investigating), Olivetti e-mailed me to say Vista drivers won't be ready until July 2007.

Also, you need to install it using USB first before you use it wirelessly (to set wifi preferences etc)

Only problem is the complete lack of availability of the ink. Argos and a couple of web-stores, all charging around the same price. Not one for the heavy users, but good for any one who does the odd bit of printing/scanning/copying and needs a wireless solution.

here ya go.

£17.95 each on this website for the 11ml
or £21.95 for the 18ml ones.

That isn't exactly expensive, this is also for the original inks no fake inks that you buy on ebay for other printers.

High quality Inks. Anyhow this is about being able to have a printer, scanner, and photocopier anywheer in your house and not having the need for an office. No wires and having to plug a printer into your laptop everytime you have to print something.

But I understand your point, but still great machine at a low price.

Brother give you full cartridges too and argos have some cracking deals on their stuff, albeit not wireless:whistling:

These ollivetti can 'probably' be refilled, i'll check into it. Looks like Lexmark territory to me though.

yeah, brother do full carts too (good bits of kit, neighbour has one).

the wireless part works really well (it uses Apple Bonjour mDNS, so once installed you just run the setup which automatically finds the printer on your network and sets it up accordingly) - also means it works on the mac really well*

*well, it did on my mac. then the OSX 10.4.9 update came out and knackered the file/printer sharing on my iBook.

So you have a mac and a PC. Spoilt brat.

Looks good, would go nicely with the new dell 6400 laptop. Why so many good deals on here, i'm skint and going on holiday and I want it!!!

I can not get my Ollivetii Photo Wireless Plus to talk to my router. I am sure I am doing something wrong and it is not the printer itself.
