CPU & Ram runs windows 7 fine so age is irrelevant. Hard disk size is average and USB 2.0 will suffice for 95% of users.

Key point here is that it comes with Windows 7 Professional most similarly priced laptops will be Home Premium.

Are you saying that an additional simple backup facility is more important than a sandybridge cpu? Get Ghost.
If you referring to XP mode, this laptop is too weak to run it properly.

And RDP host. I find that pretty useful.

Are Olivetti still selling laptops!

Thought the company folded years ago.

I hadn't seen the company since 99-2000! now al of a sudden they've got laptops and tablets out? wth!

Probably some moody company bought the name

Ah olivetti had a printer from them many years ago working on a amiga 500.

strange listing - says Atom N280 CPU, then i3-330m, then Core2Duo
make up your mind!

Olivetti are a consistent running company with business solutions always in mind.they have been making office equipment since 1908 when they produced the M1 typewriter.they produced their first computer, the programmer101 in 1964.it was made for accounting not featuring a qwerty keyboard but rather a numbered collection of keys with a small number of letters to mark certain items in a coded kind of way, much like A or V would mark out VATABLE items on our till receipts today.the company also made spare parts for it's machines and went on to producing calculators and computers with monitors in the 70's,80's,and 90's.the computing wing of the company was sold to a German concern in the 1990's who produced several computers with the Olivetti emblem and name attached.sales figures were dire,so the computing wing was sold to communications Italia in 2001.olivetti main are still very active in producing office equipment including photocopiers, printers, calculators, digital clocking in machines are cards, interactive white boards, and non office essentials such as cash registers.
