great price, am after a 4xx series for my Son but Corby is 25 mile away and I would freak if I got there and they were all gone..

you will never fiind a better kit lens than the Oly ED ones.

amazing

I'm a Canon man but that is a real bargain for a top named brand

I would just give them a ring, see how many theyve got and head off over there. Yesterday when I posted that they had 10 Sony A230's in stock they still had 9 of them more than 4 hours later so I don't think that they will sell out that quickly

Fantastic price for a DSLR ......hot

I have reserved one of these at a store about 10 miles away.
However, it came up at full price, nearly £300 - does anyone know if a clearance item will come down in price everywhere? i.e. the price at the till will be the one shown here? Can't get through to the store by phone!

are you sure you have made a reservation at a Clearance Bargains store ? because I don't think it is possible

Thanks for reply - I found one at a "normal" Argos store having done a stock search.

Shame its too far away
Wondering if anyone living near buy could buy for me and I'll pay him

Heat added! possible cheapest ever for a DSLR? Might be a good idea to keep an out out on the Argos ebay outlet, if they have lots more coming in then im sure they will put them on ebay?

See my original post above

Finally got through to Corby and they have SOLD OUT I'm gutted, it's £280 at the normal Argos Store.

Noticed this when I was in there at lunch time buying a Sony A230. Looks like a super hot deal.

Great price, but not the cheapest - I got an E410 with the 14-42mm AND 40-150mm lenses for £170 at PC World a year or two back

cracking deal that

I'v been playing with my new Sony A230 today and I can't imaging ever going back to a 'point n shoot' camera ever again. DSLR's are a great bit of kit

Out of stock in Walsall branch

As one of the managers of this store thank you for this post but I would like to inform everyone that we are now sold out of both SLR cameras

Agreed, only downside is lugging them around. Quite pleased my my A230. I got it as second body. The grip is not the best but cannot complain for the price.

Also ordered an extra (non-sony) battery off a popular auction site for less than £7 and a cheap and the 8GB Transcend Class 10 SD card from Amazon for less than £8.

Just got back from the Corby store. I bought the last Sony A230 off the shelf. There is however 1 Olympus E420 for £189.99 in its box. I decided on the Sony.

Best choice unless you already have an Olympus system. I've had several DSLRs in my time and while the A230 may not be the last word in technology for the price its a fantastic camera.

Bargain. I have an E 500 and E 410 and both are great cameras.
