This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

This is an amazing deal, £100 off the PEN E‑PL8 1442 II R camera kit and get a M.Zuiko Digital 45mm F1.8 portrait lens for free — use the code EPL8BLACK for the black version or EPL8WHITE for the white version. They are both very nice cameras.

Mirrorless cameras are fantastic for budding photographers, as they are much smaller than their DSLR cousins, and can easily fit in a bag without taking up too much room. The Olympus PEN comes with 16.1 effective megapixels, which is more than enough for point and click shots unless you want to blow them up to massive sizes.

The two lenses with this kit will do close-up and portrait shots easily, but for longer range stuff you'll need to buy an additional lens.

See the specifications on this page, as there are loads of them... click on the drop down: shop.olympus.eu/en_…kit

What two lenses are not 299??
Just taken a punt for the price.
Lets see
Great deal. Not sure how good the camera is but I had the 45mm lens on an E-M10 and it's a wonderful lens
Can't get this to work. Yes the lens is added for free but the price is showing as £649.99 for me even after adding the code.

Well this is how it showed for me using the code for the black one.
Got this the last time just sold it on eBay it took months to sell camera is pretty limited no viewfinder nice for travel not much else. Don't believe the RRP but still a good deal for the price
Cracking deal! Bought.
P.s. Don't forget the 10% Quidco for new shoppers, assuming it can be used in conjunction with the code.

Don’t add the things separately. Go to the offer page and when you click the offer it adds it as a bundle.

I got a similar bundle in the summer but with the pancake version of the 14-42mm lens instead. This was from Jessops. Am very happy with it.

Well, is really hard to keep it in your hand( and I have small hands), focus not too good and I need a viewfinder. There is no point to spend £180 for a electronic viewfinder.
I ve bought the epl 5 mark ii and you can t compare them.
The deal is for the camera and two lenses for £299. That’s a great shout of anyone’s money.
The 45mm is a great little lens, I wouldnt bother with the body though

Debatable. I agree it’s good value, can’t argue with the price. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good buy though.

The pankake lens is useless, I wouldnt count on that. 45mm is amazing with a different body.

I'm an idiot. I was adding the wrong camera. In my defense I was half way down a bottle of Jagermeister at the time.

Smh
Anyone recommend a lens for shooting further than the portrait option with the included lens?

I've had a google but am confused.

The 45mm is the equivalent to a 90mm on an SLR, with a shorter focus but a larger aperture for better light.

Sorry, I'm looking for a lens that will allow me to take photos other than creamy bokeh pictures.
Landscape and general everyday point & shoot stuff.
No need to apologise by the way.

It comes with two lenses, surely one them will suffice as a point and click 50mm?

That is a very random comment. Equivalent to 90mm on an SLR, might've been useful 20 years ago bit almost no one shoots film now. You can't simply substitute DSLR as it may have a crop sensor which alters things.

Shorter focus? Better light?

Personally, you're much better off on a site like dpreview and signing up on their forum than receiving info from member's on here who think they know everything about photography! Do a little research, gain a bit of knowledge then ask away.

If, in the meantime you find a time sensitive deal that you don't think you can pass up, check the returns policy, buy it but don't open it and if it doesn't turn out to be what's required, send it back and get something more suitable.

Haha, that's a term I've used alot! But yeah, do a bit of research and when you've a better idea of exactly what you're looking for, feel free to pm me. Warning!! I'm not a pro photographer, but I've a reasonable grasp of what you might be looking for - we've all been there.

Will do.
Current collection reads like this :-

Sony RX100 III
Pentax K100D Super ( my favourite)
Canon 70D
Fujifilm X10
Pentax K-01

As I said, all the gear etc.

I have a soft spot for Pentax, always managed to shoot great photos mostly with the K100D Super.

Best photo was of my daughter on the K100D using a cheap lens I bought from Ebay for around £30.

I see a deal like this and am a sucker for adding to the collection without really learning the craft which if I did, I'm sure my current cameras would suffice

Alright man, I’m not an expert but did read a fair few reviews before I posted. No need to be pedantic. Just trying to help.

Personally I have a Nikon 1 mirrorless and it does okay. Needs a flash but great for daytime.

That's not me being pedantic "man", it's me pointing out that what you wrote makes little sense.
