Expensive, yes. Big saving, yes. If you got the cash then snap it up!

Cracking watches, I’ve had a Seamaster since 2004 and I paid a lot less then this so goes to show these will go up in value significantly and become investments.

Was £5280....down to £3700

Not here to sell it. Saw it and thought that’s a good saving so sharing it. If it’s cold then it’s cold - I’ll still sleep like a baby
This looks like a better deal, titanium, co-axial planet ocean hughrice.co.uk/col…tch

His name is Dr Strange. I think he voted cold on his own deal.
Is it just me or does the dial not look like a small watch face within a dial with a partial misaligned 24 Hr clock. It’s just weird.

if size isn't important to you , then you could get the 41.5mm version for £3200 at goldsmiths.

I've had a second hand Ford Focus since 2008 and it reliably tells the time and takes me around places. Too big to go on my wrist though, not sure that would be enough to encourage me to part with the cash though as it looks uncomfortable to sit on.

I think the point was that it will hold its value - it could have been clearer. I've also had a Seamaster since about then, worn it most days since and could sell it today for more than was paid for it then.

Expensive watches (good ones) are actually really cheap when you factor in resale value.
Didn't realise a watch can cost this much

Especially when you factor out the service costs required to leverage a resale value at the higher end of the pricing spectrum.

And so the debate begins again.
Very nice indeed
heat added.. would be a nice watch
Looks a bit ugly/bland for an Omega.

Not rubbishing the brand as I have a Speedmaster 57 and love it.
Never bought from these. Are Huge Price OK?

Watch is IMO slightly rotated to the left.
The crown has come off my Seamaster Cosmic twice.
It costs over £36 just to let them tell you how much it costs to get a repair.
And that was years ago.
Probably a lot more now.
NEVER AGAIN !!!

The goldsmith's one is a totally different watch. The one in this post is a GMT model and well worth the £500 extra over the goldsmith's one.

Isn’t that watch from the 1960s/1970s?

I don’t think it’s a train smash that it’s given you a little trouble all these years later.
Cheers OP. I was eyeing one of these up the other day. Quite a saving I can now put towards some more pheasant meat and cigars.

I have a friend who collects watches for some reason. Has 2 or 3 he paid more than this for plus loads of others. Says they're an investment for his retirement. Personally I check the time on my very old mobile. Always same time as his expensive watches. I will show him this deal anyway.
He wears a different watch every day !

Until you go to get them serviced - £500 for my Speedmaster at Omega! They say it needs a service every 3-5 years but I did live with it running slow until it was 15 years old (after servicing it now runs fast!). Cost £1100 vs over £3k for a new one so probably has held its value - not that I plan on selling it.
Often wonder is mech watches are the equivalent of film cameras as they were in the 1990's.

I love that watch......
The AquaTerra on the same site is a classic with £800 off. Heat added. Just note that the AT dial has been updated in 2017 with horizontal lines instead of vertical as seen on the older ATs. Still an awesome deal.

Assuming your friend started wearing watches at age 20 and lives to 85, he'll have a collection of approx 23,725 watches.
