Strange thing I bought a second hand Lexus car for 11k 8 years ago it's just been given away to a friend as it's virtually worthless ,it was used very day and now has 133k on the clock
My Breitling Colt however was about £1000 15 years ago is now worth nearly £2000 and its been used almost every day.

I've learnt my lesson don't waste your money on cars waste it on watches

Yes you probably could buy a car for that, but in general someone purchasing a £3k watch wouldn’t drive round in a £3k car - I know I wouldn’t,Heat from me, a saving of nearly £800 is supposed to be what these forums are all about.

A watch has perhaps two functions:

1. To tell the time
2. To look nice

This watch doesn't tell the time as well as some of the other options you mention, being mechanical, and to my eye doesn't even look nice. So I am completely baffled.
If this is one you’re after that’s great but for an extra £650 you can have the iconic moonwatch.

I think if you looked at it in the flesh, and felt the quality of it you'd have a different opinion - I don't think the photo is very flattering.

You do realise the person you quoted is literally making the same point as you right?
It is a good price for a new watch if that's what you're after. However as with most luxury goods it loses at least 25% in value as soon as you walk out the door. Better to buy an "unworn" example for around 2.2-2.5K.

I know exactly what they mean, but without being the grammar police which you obviously are they would usually be used in a correctly structured sentence, not in isolation.
Bought 2 for each wrist? Now that is just silly, one for each wrist is enough

I have a moonwatch purchased in 2018 and I drive a £2.5k Mégane

Before this gets out of hand I apologise to M_z for not realising his comments were not the usual crowd, and in respect of your Mégane I did say ‘in general’.

Off for some caffeine!
Not my cup of tea, but heat for the discount. Worth mentioning to anyone interested, sometimes Amex offers cashback. I thing I got 4 or 500 off my seamaster bought from ernest jones on top of the normal discount.
The more I look at the watch, the nicer it actually looks. For that money I would still go for a speedmaster, mind you, I suspect this would be cheaper at service time due to th simpler movement.

Wrong. You obviously have no idea about watches.

In the same way that a Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini or Porsche is a rebadged Audi? Which itself is a rebadged VW? Which itself is a rebadged SEAT? Which itself is a rebadged Škoda?
Stunning watch. Heat added

Is that guy in the video a child or a freakishly young looking man?
Wow - being rude to people who are looking at your advert is a novel way to sell watches. I think save a bit more and buy quality would be a better thing to do with £3000.
Why is it called Railmaster? I cannot see the connection.

Thanks. In the age of quartz that level of accuracy is commonplace, of course. But it's still an achievement for a mechanical watch.

I think Northern Rail are using New Zealand watches. I remember on my first trip to Auckland the pilot came over the tannoy saying we are preparing to land in Auckland, set your watches back 20 years!
Good deal. Gentle reminder, this is hot deals UK, not cheap tat UK.

As opposed to maybe a Rolex who are owned by a foundation that registers itself as a charity to avoid corporate taxes.

Get yourself an oris. Half the price. And so much sexier!
Beautiful watch, just bought this yesterday

A Brietling Colt, which was £1000 15 years ago, now worth £2000. Nah never, the only way this would be the case, would be if it's a limited edition and you still have all the original packing and paperwork, and the watch has never been worn.

Just because you might see dealers selling a Colt for £1700 if it's a Chronograph version. However these will be serviced and warrantied for at least a year.

A third watch function is to use as a knuckle-duster if it has a metal bracelet so this one hits the spot, so to speak.

Great looking watch the new seamasters, I'm thinking of buying this one, but will wait for a few months until they start giving discounts.
