Got my Pepsi and Popcorn.

Are they both Rolex watches? I’ve not heard of the Popcorn before?
I wish to virtue signal and say there's more important things to spend your money on, I can't afford it so nobody can, etc.

Beautiful
What are the experts reckoning, 40-50% drop in watch prices and 95% drop in demand?

Hahaha brilliant... Love some sprite and root beer too 😜
Please shop responsibly. During the Covid-19 outbreak, we have been seeing a lot of community demand for basic household items. Please consider others and don’t stockpile - we all need to work together to ensure everyone gets what they need. If possible, perhaps offer to help older neighbours, family or friends by sourcing items for them.

Cool .... Let me give you my details so you can purchase and ship the watch directly to me.
Not my cup of tea, but a nice looking watch nevertheless. I don't usually like bi-metal watches, but this one works well.
Different,in a nice way
Good discount (not going to comment on the watch)

Aye aye sailor. Not for me, although ok for the occasional regatta.
Handsome dress watch.
Have to agree it would be my choice even if I could afford the price
If you can afford this, then please send me some of your spare money.
Wasted a good movement with an awful case

I'm no expert, but the drop in watch prices will vary greatly from brand to brand and even model to model. 20% off a popular Omega model is great imo. Some might get that from their AD, but there's no haggling or relationship building required here. There could be some real value in watch deals over the next while.

Let's hope so.

Depends whether you mean new or second hand. New I reckon the high end brands will be fine (rolex and up) I think the 1-3k range will be where the most trouble is, expensive but less well known brands like longines, Baume et Mercier etc might get squeezed quite aggressively.

Hard to predict what a brand like omega might do, on the one hand they are a old style premium watch brand, on the other they are owned by an aggressive sales driven parent company which might be more likely to cut prices in a poor market. Perhaps Swatch would try and protect Omega over Tissot who knows.

In fact I hadn't realised how many watch brands in that expensive midrange Swatch had acquired. If I'm right they will take a kicking.

Personally I'd love a Baume et Mercier Clifton or a Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope. If I saw either of those at half price my credit card would be out in a second.

Doesn't work on this watch.
Weird that this isn't in their sales section, since it's over a grands saving.

I personally don't think it's such a great price for this watch. A quick search and a few AD's have it at the same price.

It's not the best time to buy something like this. Nothing to do with wether you can afford it, or if your job is safe, or these people who think prices are going to drop. (What they forget is manufacturing has stopped) so we won't have the excesses they believe. The reason it's the wrong time, because you can't go from one shop to another and play them against each other. Remember prices displayed, is an invitation to haggle.

I looked in their sales section then in omega and it was listed as a sale item?

Just checked again. If you just go in to Sale, then mens watches, it not included. If you go into luxury watch sale, it is there. Yet the mens sales sections does include Omega's just not all. A bit weird why they have done that.

Dunno what the experts think, but my logic is that whilst the sale of decent watches will have likely dropped off, I’ll assume so has manufacturing of decent watches?

So post COVID-19 I expect the vast majority of the decent watch buying and gift buying population will remain gainfully employed and no less appreciating of a nice watch. Perhaps they may even choose to loosen the purse strings on the basis that you cannot take it with you?

I imagine that's because It's marketed as a unisex watch.

I've seen baume & mercier up to 70% off on grey dealers, do some research and you will get one for peanuts.
Now That’s a nice looking watch!
