Great entry level Omega with 25% off from a reputable retailer. Can't go wrong.

I am a bit of an Omega fan (currently looking for a Seamaster golf edition at a reasonable price) but have to admit i am seriously unimpressed by this variant.

Like Omega but this one has only leather strap. Not worth three grand.

The date is at the 6 o'clock position. But agree about the strap. Much nicer in steel. I've had my seamaster for 20 years and has been worn daily and still going strong - it will out live me that's for sure

Agree. Got one of these with a metal strap when they first came out, paid £2300 from Goldsmiths.
"Entry level Omega". Lol, WTF doors that mean?
No interest in this myself but in theory additional 10% (£300) off with supplied code if you register for emails

Given the choice I’d prefer this with almost the same discount

I'm after a railmaster but no luck yet
We found Ernest Jones' customer service to be absolutely shocking regarding the state a much less costly Bulova was delivered in. I'd never consider buying from them again, especially for such a premium brand.
£3000 and they couldn’t be bothered to put numbers on the dial!

Bingo. Same suspicions here too.

Snap. Their sales are always ex display or returns so boxes are damaged. Straps are worn, cases are scratched. Then when you complain they act if there isn't problem because it's a "sale" item.
That looks so boring. Wouldn't pay 300 never mind 3000
I like it. Ditch the strap though.... I’m in love with my new oris at the moment so can’t get another watch!
I bet the hands don’t even glow in the dark ! A necessity!

That it's one of the cheaper in their range - seems fairly self-evident I would think?
Former SaS types with easy smiles and expensive watches .... Rolex ? ...Omega ....Beau ehhh not bad .
Looks basic, when you have to tell people it's an omega then it defeats the object of having a good time piece.
I like it and if I had one I'd stick it on a nato strap (I'm not a fan of bracelets). Good find, OP
I just had a look at the T&Cs of the 10% off offer for signing up to emails and Omega watches are excluded from this offer, so £3,000 is the price unless you can haggle a better deal in-store:

What exactly does it do?
Does anyone know how much they charge to fit a nato strap? Are the pins required expensive or included? £10 for the Omega pin tool.
If you buy it in-store they really ought to swap straps for free - it's the least they can do considering the price and I'm sure they would considering how much you've just spent! The pins are already in place: all they'd need to do is remove the strap, remove the pins, re-insert the pins, and then insert a nato strap of your choice. Alternatively, you can do it yourself with one of these spring bar removal tools. It's easy peasy

Fwiw, I'm a big fan of Redrooster UK straps as they're cheap but high quality. I wear this olive green nato strap on my Rolex Explorer and it's rock solid.

Heat added. If you have an Amex check for Earnest Jones 5% cashback offer although in store only.

Completely agree!!! They butchered a TAG Heuer bracelet adjustment and then said the store wasn't qualified to carry them out in the first place. Manager refused responsibility. Kicked up a stink with the main customer services number, they were great and replaced my watch with a much more expensive model for the same price, due to sale stock having run out.

If you want a flashy watch to impress waitresses - Omega is defo not for you. Go grab yourself a 46 mm rose gold Hublot and enjoy the ride.

I'm not sure what you say is of any relevance here: if being greedy means taking more than one's fair share and depriving others of theirs, then seeking to save some money on a deal offered by a retailer has nothing to do with greed as it has no bearing on whether anyone else can or will avail themselves of the same offer. If someone bought all the watches at this price and denied others the chance to buy one then yes, that would be being greedy. But simply seeking to save some money - it's why we're all here on HUKD after all - isn't at all the same as being greedy. The difference here is that the amount of money being saved is on a far bigger scale to most deals posted for the benefit of the community.

Good argument. I think I am coming from the angle where some people have real excess which I have seen first hand where they will do anything to save a penny yet there are so rich they could litteraly not work a single day & still have plenty of money. I am talking about people I know who have a million pound house a 250k classic car, yet only eat out if they can get some special vouchers in restaurants! Eating in £1 baguette shops, that's to me more then greedy & have no respect for people like that as there love of money dictates what they will do through the day yet it should be other way around

If those people didn't break the law or exploit others to secure their wealth, being frugal and cautious with their wealth is admirable and certainly wise. This doesn't smack of greed at all.
