Absolute bargain for this stunner.

Known as the 'The Big Blue', this Omega Seamaster Co-Axial Master Chronometer automatic men's watch is a combination GMT and divers' watch that showcases the most bold style and innovative design.

Presented on a blue rubber strap with orange stitching, lining and a ceramic foldover clasp, this Omega watch features a 45.5mm blue ceramic case with a blue ceramic unidirectional rotating bezel with a Liquidmetal diving scale, finished with a helium escape valve. Domed and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides protects the deep blue dial that's enhanced by the 18ct white gold hands and baton hour markers with a white Super-LumiNova coating, finished with flashes of orange around the flange and a date window at 3 o'clock.

Water resistant to an outstanding 600m, this Omega Seamaster is powered by an automatic chronometer movement that's antimagnetic so it's unaffected by exposure to strong magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. See the magnificent movement for yourself through the transparent caseback and be breath taken from the intricate detail of this beautifully crafted Omega watch. 215.92.46.22.03.001

Does it even have a HR monitor?

In a way yes - it’s automatic, so is ‘charged’ by wrist movement. If your heart stops beating, it goes flat.
That’s almost the price of a new Sandero and it comes with a built in clock.

This or a Rolex, which is better?

Wow, what a watch. At £5440, this is going to provoke some comments.
I'm waiting for the 'buy a Casio for £50' or the usual 'people who spend this much on a watch shouldn't be on this site'.
Too dear for me mind, but fine if you've got the dosh.

This is not a 20% saving, this is part of the 20% on top of the sale price. This is £7295 on Swiss Watches Direct.

I posted the additional 20% offer the other day, lots more offers on top of their normal sales.
This will show my ignorance about watches, but I’d never have guessed from the images that this would be worth more than a couple of hundred.

Seems expensive for a non-chrono Planet Ocean, especially one with such divisive looks.

This one's getting on a bit now but much more tasteful and can be had at about £3400 in Dubai's duty free sales in December

If you don’t want to show ignorance , don’t make senseless comments ...since when was an Omega worth what you state....this is what spoils this site at times...nice troll though...

Rolex are generally considered more desirable and retain value better, but that is primarily driven by marketing and artificially restricted supply.

These have a more advanced movement, and in my opinion better build quality.

As a comparison, Rolex is akin to iPhone, and Omega to high end Android - better in most respects, but don’t get all of the deserved credit.

£3400 for that is astonishing, but I guess only a small percentage of people will be at Dubai airport in December.

This is a GMT, which adds a chunk to the price.
I'm so tempted but I think 45.5mm might be slightly to big. Shame there aren't any of the 43.5mm on offer.

That’s not trolling, the colours make it look cheap. I’ve no doubt they cost much more to make and have complex construction. I’m merely commenting on the aesthetics.
5.5k and you get a fabric strap/bracelet? Stick to Rolex people

I’ve just added a 45.5 to my collection, I don’t have huge wrists so had similar concerns but I’m really happy with it, a nice chunky look. My other PO was an earlier 42mm so quite a jump in size;

Rose gold Yachtmaster is £19200 and comes with a rubber strap...

Are you not sure how these things work?

Thanks, does it dig in at all? I've got a g-shock MrG which is the chunkiest watch I own, measures around 52mm lug to lug but fits perfectly.
I need to try an omega on, off to Birmingham Airport this afternoon so hopefully they'll have a watch shop there.

I almost bought that, it was one of the offers from Rovili. They have some great offers from time to time, but you have to ask for them. As they might be held in the central warehouse or another shop. You can also claim back an additional 5% at the airport if you buy anything with Tax on it.
Great watch. Personally. It s bit busy for me and as others have stated the price is in Rolex territory which I think will date better than this (assuming a sub etc)

I had no idea, seems I’m not up to date,
thanks for the info.

3 that I have are oyster and jubilee so tradition bracelets.
I personally love the strap although I do think at this price range watches like this should also come with a bracelet.

The Big Blue is a GMT so more useful (especially if travelling to the likes of Dubai...) than a chrono, plus being ceramic its much lighter & wearable. Personally I wouldn’t call a heavy 45.5mm wide 19.2mm thick chronograph tasteful but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I love Omega watches, however, even with a discount, this isn’t money well spent. If you look, there’ll be a used one somewhere for a fraction of this price. They are much better value when slightly used. It is a nice piece though.

All the second hand ones I've seen actually cost more than this one.

The GMT is a Gimmick, it just as much a pain in the a** to change time zones, than the standard dial. I have 2 GMT's an Omega Aqua Terra and a Graham Silver Stow. Unless I'm travelling to the same zone over and over again. They are ok for that, but no multiple zones.

Any Omega I’ve taken a shine to, I’ve just been patient and looked, eventually you’ll find it. They are notorious for depreciation. This won’t be an exception. It’s just my opinion, but I’d not shell out this much on an Omega.

This is a a 37% saving on the standard price. You would be hard pressed to find a used one for this price, at the moment.

It's the value of of the Pound which is having such an effect on prices. If we ever recover from the Brexit, you will see the price drop as the value of the pound increases. That will greatly effect new and second hand prices for watches.

One of the advantages of wearing an Automatic watch with date function, is that were you to die alone and be discovered some weeks or months later, it’s a relatively simple task to establish a reasonably accurate time of death based on your condition and the make and model power reserve. (just saying )

Even by watch thread standards it’s too early on in the thread for show and tell.
Nice watch

No it isn't. The quartz clock in the Sandero is far more accurate than this or any mechanical watch. It's almost like that isn't the point. So what is the point? It's nice to have nice things. That's literally it, there is huge attraction to these objects becuase of the intricacy and engineering.

They are actually a pretty good store of wealth if you don't want to keep it all in the bank, they don't lose too much value, sometimes go up.
