Most modern humans have eyes that move in their sockets so you move your eyes not your head.
If you still have old style fixed eyes maybe better to upgrade those first before changing monitors?

haha yeah probably but I am a casual gamer, seems a quality bit of kit, I will soon find out, using a 24" at the moment,

Haha I’m gonna order as soons as I get home what happens I got a ps4 I’ll be using as well as a pc
The 27" gsync would've been ace at this price. Should I? Or shouldn't I?(fierce)
Shame it only has 2 USB 2.0 ports and not 3 USB 3.0 ports as per the description.
Note that it does have 3 ports but 1 is upstream so it only has 2 you can plug devices into. Usual marketing BS.

Depends, some people sit with their nose pressed against the monitor (those people either need glasses or will need them shortly). I used to do that but now put my monitors at the back of the desk so a good 60-80cm away. 27" at that distance looks a little small so a 32" would probably be fine.

Hot ordered!
From the q&a. Anyone with nvidia gtx1070 or lower model, won't get great refresh rate. Another commented on gtx1080, he saw no issues.

"I run a gtx1070 and although i won't get insane refresh rates it is a great monitor in its price range, not saying it gets bad refresh rates, just not impressive. No real stuttering unless i try to run what my card won't, it might be different for a 1080TI or similar cards but on my gigabyte manufactured Gtx1070 it works great."
Quote --- an RX 580 will be more than adequate for 1440p gaming, just like the RX 480. I spent 3 years gaming at 1440p, I have 1440p with a 470 and I do fine.Just have to get away from the mindset of everything must be Ultra.

Usually I can't tell the difference between High and Ultra but High is dramatically better fps.

Then I often drop shadows to Medium as even in close inspection in screenshots the visual difference doesn't bother me, and lowering shadows seems to be a reasonable fps boost too.

I think you mean frame rates there, refresh rates aren't affected by the graphics card.

Frame rates will be identical for all monitors of this resolution.

I'm in the market for a new monitor, i was looking to go from a 24" to 27, but this HP looks pretty impressive for the money.
I'm torn between saving a bit longer and going for a 27" 1440p G-sync or pulling the trigger on this. My current PC has a gtx 1080 with a 6700k

Depends on what you're playing and the settings you're playing at. CS:GO on minimum settings will hit 75 fps really easily. Personally I'd rather be somewhere in the 40-60 range (60hz maximum on my monitors) with settings as high as possible. For multiplayer stuff 60fps takes priority over settings (in fact PUBG without the foliage is a benefit since people can't hide in the grass).

QUOTE --- i am using a 1080 FTW and set it to 75hz or fastest setting in monitor settings and 75 hz in the nvidia setting console and all works well... i found the vsync touch and go per program.. the geforce experience sets up the games perfect as well...i myself love the real estate and my games look great

I must admit, it does seem a bit on large side for a monitor. I think most people do move their head slightly when looking from one side of screen to other - I know I do.
32" is a perfect size for a monitor
Devil of a deal.

I've got the AOC 32", you soon get used to the size.
I thought my Dell 24" was big at one time, now it looks small.
You can extend the warranty to 3 years for £8.40: HP Store

I'd assumed that was just if you bought directly from them
I have also got the AOC 32"

with a GTX 1070 runs ok

so i would say this would be fine good price

scoot
Had a Benq 32" 1440p monitor for the last few years, wouldn't game on anything smaller now, also negates the need to run a dual monitor setup so great for productivity also.

Other retailers sell the warranty upgrade so seemingly not.
So how much warranty do you get with this?? I have looked at other sellers and some state 1 year and others 2 years...

I checked, the HP warranty seems to be 1 year although can be extended to 3 for £8.40 at online HP store(see above link). I see John Lewis offer a 2 year warranty but the Omen 32" there is £380. This is all I know as have only just ordered mine.
I'm very interested in this monitor, does anyone know if it uses PWM (Pulse Wave Modulation) for brightness? I'm hoping it doesn't... 😬
It doesn't have speakers this 1 does it?

No. Most inbuilt monitor speakers at this price range are not worth having anyway, I bluetooth to my stereo or buying separate Pc speakers are cheap anyways

Just had a live chat with a customer service rep at Amazon and they have just told me that Amazon offer a 24 month guarantee with all electronic equipment.... I had the chat emailed to me and printed it off if any problems occur...
Has anyone who ordered off Amazon received their Omen 32" yet??
I ordered 9 days ago and it had a dispatch time of 3.5 days...
All I keep getting now are excuses even though I have been told its packed and waiting for courier to pick up (That was 3 days ago).
Today delivery date has changed again, called them and told them that I dont like being lied to and fobbed off...

Ordered on the 22nd of August for a delivery on the 30th. Still waiting, changed my shipping method to expedited and now it's telling me between the 6th and 8th of September. A lot of people are still waiting I believe.
Makes me mad... I called 3 days ago and was told that it was packed and awaiting courier to pick it up... Checked yesterday and still saying awaiting dispatch and the date had changed again for delivery... Checked again today and date change again... Called them and told them that they had been lying to me... I have now been told to expect dispatch within 24-48 hours and if not to get back in touch.... Pointless because i will only get fobbed off again.... waste of space....

yeah my account just says dispatching soon, arrival by the 5th sept, good luck
Just had another date change...
Called Amazon and told them that I have had 4 delivery date changes as in as many days..
I told them that they guaranteed it would be send out 3 days ago and had nothing.
I explained also that one of their team told me that my item was in stock, packaged and ready for courier to pick up and deliver for Saturday 2nd September.
I asked yesterday and they said give it 24-48 for definite delivery, I asked it if was in stock and was told yes.
Saw this date change again today and I was that mad that I contacted them again and explained all this to them again, I asked if it was in stock and they said no...pffftt...
I then told them that i didnt appreciated be lied to on numerous occasions...
So now this new Amazon Rep i spoke to today said delivery to them in 3 days and that is off the supplier...
Im not going to hold my breath and the last 3 orders I have placed for different things have been cancelled...
Now says that it will get dispatched on the 7th but arrival between the 6th and 8th. I shall wait and see.
Similar for me on this, 2 date changes and loads of assurances but nothing so far
