Great find!
The 20% off only applies to £350 or below or something. After that point I believe the most you can save is £75. Still, even that is a nice saving of course.

Yeah, you only get £75 off.
Crazy good price. The GPU and CPU make up £300-350 of the cost alone, then the cost of 8GB RAM, an SSD etc , it'd be hard to build one yourself for the same price.
Really tempted need a new computer
It's a good price but the weaker 4 core i5 can't hold a minimum of 60 fps in few cpu heavy game which means it has no headroom for the future. It is also only equivalent to the latest i3's.

Agreed, but this is the best £600 gaming pc you could get.

Yes, my comment is more so people can manage their expectations. The marketing BS makes it sound high end when its a nice entry level gaming setup.

This is a great my son I built him a FX6300 and HD7850 a few years back …This is a great my son I built him a FX6300 and HD7850 a few years back and now wants to upgrade he has saved up £700.00 so this is right in his budget.. and with some change, I priced up a build last night using the i3 8100, 1060 and 8GB of DDR4 and you can't build one for this price with the same spec, everything except the storage..

Your own built will be far easier to upgrade in the future and the Z370 motherboard for the i3 8100 will have better upgrade options.

You could do a 8100, 1060 6GB (instead of the 3GB in this), and 8GB of RAM for only £60 more than this.

A 8100 is about 10% faster than the 7500, and the 6GB version of the GTX 1060 is also about 10% faster. Which means you're getting a 10% faster CPU and GPU for about 9-10% more. Plus you get to build it with your son, great activity. Also a newer platform with better room to upgrade along the way.

Plus if you're upgrading an exisiting system there are parts you can reuse and save some cash there too.

PM me if you want more information.
I'm in need of a new PC and want to make use of today's ebay 20% voucher. I don't play games so this rig might be a bit of overkill.

Edit: Actually, my wife has just said she wants to be able to run some graphic design s/w, so would something like this be appropriate?

I thought this post might get lost in the ebay voucher thread, so hoping someone here might be able to help.

I haven't kept up with PC hardware, so would appreciate any pointers to a good ebay PC desktop only deal that will run windows 10 dual monitor.

Thanks.

Good price, but how is this considered to be a VR machine?
Curiously the CPU is listed as 6th Gen, but it's an i5-7400 supposedly, which is 7th Gen. 7400 would make it an Omen 870-260na for those that want to look it up. support.hp.com/my-…118
its a very good price for the spec.

It is probably the minimum spec for a VR machine, everything will be the minimum, the gfx card, the ram and the processor. Superb for everything else.
