Oh the gaming desktop you could build for that.

Is this really a deal? How much should it cost?
I will go and raid the money tree in my back garden. I am sure you can get a very decent gaming laptop for half that price, yes it won't have the same spec, but even so, I am sure it will still be a capable machine.
Use code CQ320AF03 for a further £24.96 discount
I might buy one and destroy it to make a YouTube video, should get me a few views
Meaty desktop plus a VR setup and still have change
april the 1st?
Good reduction from the original price of 3,499.99.

Wonder how this will compare to the new ASUS dual screen 4k laptop.
Dont understand the cold reception to this deal.

It has free shipping
Will it run Crysis?

That's swung it for me!
The image is misleading. Look at the tiles, no one with wife and kids would be allowed to spend this much on a laptop! Aha
Pretty but I will stick to a desktop lol
2080 max q should put people off. It’s near enough 15-20% slower than the standard laptop 2080
Why do people vote deals like this cold? You could buy better things for the price yes, but its reduced by £700, if somebody wants it then its a good deal

Dude it's a laptop, it's obviously not going to beat a high end desktop.

Your missing the part when I said a standard laptop 2080.
There’s two versions. A low powered one which is this one and the regular one which is nearly on par with the desktop one depending on which vendor/laptop you go with.
That can be had for the same money. Why would you pay £3k for a sub par gpu. Just get a laptop with the full one.
I hope that clears that up for you

I think you answered you own question when you said ‘good deal’ implying value for money. If someone wants one sure go ahead and buy it but doesn’t mean it’s good value for money......even at £700 off I think the argument is it’s still not value for money compared to other offerings.

Completely disagree, its a what.. 700 nvidia card, 400+ Intel card, near 16inch 240hz screen with a second touch screen, that sells for 3k and they are clearly selling them, not everybody has time or care to build a desktop pc, convenience is king which most "gamers" don't understand, personally I'd build a pc with less money, but for alot a pc that can virtually play anything and enough storage for most straight out the box with warranty from a brand they know

There’s gaming Laptops with this hardware for a lot less if your looking for ‘convenience’. On that note you can also buy an off the shelf gaming desktop for a lot less (when most people shell out for a gaming laptop and never move it from their desk ). I’d also argue that if they are discounting it by £700 then clearly it’s not flying off the shelf and it’s overpriced enough they can take £700 off the RRP

Not exactly, pretty much everything you buy can be discounted 50% and still make profit on the actual components but that's not how it works, also as I said it's got a second screen with these specs it's pretty useful. You're saying that as if you've personally bought every single gaming laptop and know that nobody who buys one will move it from a desk when that's really not the case, people buy things for all sorts of reasons and if somebody is going to buy it the 700 off helps, an alien ware area 51 is 3k, a similar zephyrus is 3k, there isnt a razer blade 15 with an i9 and the 240hz one is 2.5k, an msi stealth isn't really comparable, you can't just say "people can get a similar but completely different style of computer for cheaper" and think that's some kind of argument.
But wouldn’t be discounting it if it was selling well would they, especially a £700 discount. If your looking to get a similar gaming experience then you can get that for a lot less. Hence why it’s not value for money and why even at a reduction of £700 it’s not blazing off the shelves and being voted hot. At £2800 you could even get a sick desktop gaming PC, peripherals and a quality laptop, and still have money in your back pocket and you want to argue with me about this being a good deal?.....
