I just bought one of these instore. It's a good basic model that does all you really need (reads systolic, diastolic BP and pulse). It comes supplied with batteries and a travel pouch. It's clinically validated and easy to use.

It's highly rated on amazon, where it is currently selling for £17. RRP is £47, if you can believe that.

It doesn't have a memory for keeping historical readings. I suggest some form of notebook and pen

edit: Cuff size is medium (22-32cm)
Changed spelling diabolic => diastolic

There were loads instore.

have them in store at portrack lane store in stockton-on-tees, next to the pharmacy kiosk.

never sure how accurate these things actually are as the ones hospitals and doctors use seem to cost £££££ when this is only a tenner, same the the cheap wrist ones. probably just some small chinese child who made it sitting inside blowing up a balloon and hitting the first numbers he thinks of ;-)

I guess you could say that the devil is in the detail.

FWIW it says "clinically validated" on the box. Omron is a respected make.

I probably should have mentioned that the cuff included is a medium sized cuff (22 - 32cm), so it may be a bit on the small size for some people.

My Dr uses an OMRON blood pressure machine & its the exact same one that we have at home! We bought ours for about £30 & that was a bargain at the time - £10 is super hot!
