This is really good, with adjustable cuffs too rather than elasticated which I know sounds minor but I really do like. Number of sizes available too. Good luck!

I doubt it, as it states, it's designed to keep you dry. These are generally thin in design.

It will keep the wind and rain out, but is very thin so will need layers underneath to provide any warmth.

I found these aren’t that breathable, so it can get quite damp on the inside from your body heat. I ended up returning mine because of this and buying the Gore-Tex Paclite 2.0 jacket which has better breathability.

Saying that though, this is a cracking price for a jacket that will definately keep the rain out, so heat from me.

Have a pair of Berghaus Deluge waterproof over trousers and have been on the lookout for a jacket to go with it. How does this Stormcloud jacket compare with Deluge or RG Alpha, both also made by Berghaus, does anyone know?

Thanks.

Sweat like a pan of chips in this jacket.

Had these for my last 2 jackets. Cracking price.

I’ve used the Alpha as a day-to-day coat. It does keep you dry, but it does get hot, and the hood doesn’t have an adequate peak so my face kept getting wet in the rain.

If your budget will stretch, the Berghaus Hillwalker is GoreTex, with a decent hood. It has a lining to wick away moisture, but you’ll still need a fleece underneath in the colder weather. The coat I’m wearing at the moment is the Berghaus Stronsay, which is around £50 on Amazon. It again will keep he rain out, but the lining is slightly thicker so slightly warmer (although you’ll still need a fleece in the cold).

Sorry for the rambling but I hope the helps.
