sorted bySamsung and WD (big manufacturers of their own drives) use their own inhouse parts and have good custom controllers. The 990 Pro especially. Makes them very good with price to performance.
Most companies use off the shelf parts and have to share similar designs.

Note,I attempted to buy and it was added to cart at full price. Contacted WD CS, and they say it is a website issue and should be resolved by EOD.
