because the 2.25kg tubs are normally just a few pounds dearer than this on Amazon when on offer.

It's perfectly fine bringing up past prices. Helps determine if something is a "hot deal", not just "cheaper than usual"

This is a supliment i.e it supliments food.

I want approx 75g more protein than I would normally eat, so I could eat either 300g of chicken breast (not convenient to eat whilst leaving the gym) this would cost approx £2.50 or I could use a protein powder that costs around 60p (MyProtein Whey costs)
