£3.95 delivery for orders < £50
don't forget top cash back at 2%
Anyone know why the Areo Sprint Cycling Sunglasses are £5 on the main index (and in adds within the product page) but a tenner when you got to buy them?
Heat BTW.
Just had a quick look as I am in the market for a new saddle. Still a a bit pricey on a few things so be careful eg. Witkop saddles £20 but only about £9 in Lidl.
Yes, there are good deals to be had, but most of the items in this sale have been this price for months.
I shop from Planet-X/On-one quite a bit, and you will be lucky to get things like clothing & shoes in your size, unless you are at the extremities of sizing.
I'm not saying its a cold deal, but its not that hot for me.

Ordered a few items, thanks
Have to say that while Planet X do offer some great stuff at great prices, the quality is also quite variable. I've had fantastic base layers and unusable legwarmers that just slide down as soon as I start riding (I'm not a skinny racing snake). Also the website headline prices are often not what you'll be offered by the time you find the size/colour you want etc it may well be that the XXS (or XXL) bibshorts are a bargain at £5.99 but the real sizes, if available, will still be a real (if reasonable) price. I once returned some oversocks that sprung holes on first ride. They sent me an oversized pair of walking socks as a replacement! It's a bit pot luck but hey if the price is right it might be worth the risk. I now treat them withe greater caution than I once did.

Definitely agree, in the last 6months I've shopped from their "liquidation sale" (doesn't every shop "liquidate" its stock?!?, their, "we don't want to count it stocktake" sale, their "we're moving and don't want to take it" sale and their "quick grab it while its on sale" sale. Every time the prices have been roughly the same, they just change it about a bit, e.g. I wanted some folding MTB tyres, the one I looked at went from £5.99 to £9.99 and back to £5.99.

I think they are following the SCS sofa marketing ploy, so don't blindly buy, look for the GENUINE bargains. Regardign quality, I can agree, the tyres I eventually ordered were supposed to 1.75's, the're crap, they aren't much wider than a road tyre and are pretty useless compared to my old tyres, so be careful

so basically just avoid
I've got a £200 voucher I have to use up with these guys before the end of the month! Can anyone help me out?
Branded components (wheels, gear sets, saddles, etc) will be the same quality as elsewhere and maybe a better price. I've had good base layers, helmet and lights (poor leg warmers, merino socks and oversocks). Bibshorts, jerseys etc should be okay if you can find your size. You can read reviews on the site and they tend to be pretty straight and not too fawning. It's generally easy to see who knows what they are talking about (eg if they say shorts are comfortable for x hours or miles that's probably more useful than "great shorts").

Yeh, It's £5 per lens.
PX sales are a joke.

Used to order from them all the time 4-5 years ago. Went downhill in my opinion.

Usually find better value ordering from Wiggle/CRC/Tredz/Westbrook or Rutland with vouchers and/or Quidco.

Probably a bit harsh to say avoid, just don't blindly go filling your basket on the premise that its a "sale". If you like, treat it the same as Halfords, their bikes are rarely really on "sale" as they inflate their RRP, but every so often, you can stumble on a proper deal like the Vengeance that was on offer the other month for less than £200 due to a pricing error
Final closeout sale (until the next one...). Their prices, discounts and vouchers are up and down like a yo-yo with few actual reductions. Really cynical in their marketing and pricing in my opinion. For example, some of the tyres in their final closeout - have previously been as low as £4.99 - but are now rather more. Add in the postage charge (previously free) and poor customer service and there are few actual bargains despite the "we're your best mates" messaging.
